I was also a 2nd generation stan. Do you know what BTS did for the industry? The industry wouldn't be so progressive if it wasn't for them.

I know but BTS is being compared to groups like The Beatles and Backstreet Boys. They are more important to Kpop and its history.

I'm sure TVXQ and Big Bang were important but now BTS is the face.

Yes, GD, not Big Bang as a group. I know that GD is a legend but I don't think Big Bang as a group is important.

Do you know how many kpop groups self produce now and rap, including BTS? They aren't special. :D

That's basically the same thing. You have to surpass someone first to be as important as them. But, BTS is still more important than both groups.

I don't know much about TVXQ but I doubt Big Bang is important to kpop now. I think they are the opposite.

Jungkook is fine but I do want Bighit to start promoting the members individually. They are on top of the world. A few solo projects won't affect them.

You can't be serious. BTS has already surpassed Big Bang and they have definitely surpassed TVXQ.

I think we are in the 4th generation but it doesn't feel like it because BTS and Blackpink are still ruling it.

It's clearly ITZY and their management is better as well.

Exo already peaked before BTS blew up so you can't compare them.

The latter is 100x times better, imo. BTS and Blackpink's presence helped Kpop so much.

The 2nd generation also had 2 popular groups (SNSD and Big Bang) but I feel like even they were sometimes overshadowed by other groups depending on the year.

I don't know the ins and outs of their situation, but I think it's obvious that JYP was officially done with Got7 after Stray Kids debuted.

A "cute concept" could just be bubbly and fun which is exactly what Red Velvet does.

I haven't heard enough Big Bang songs to judge but, I do think that their stage presence is overrated.
