    BTS 💜

Favorites: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook

Reasons: RM is a very sensible, hard working, analytical, and mature person, that it really shows as being the leader of BTS. Jin is very caring towards his members (as he is the oldest), he has a great sense of humor, and is also hardworking. Suga perseceves a persona of being strong minded, but he is also sensitive, allowing him to be mature in deep thinking and to express many problems not only in his own life, but the life that we all live in. Not to mention that he is also very ambitious about the work that he does. J-Hope does indeed give off a positive aura around him, but he is also serious/mature when he needs to be, making him also have great leadership qualities. Jimin is both sensitive and caring, not that these are entirely bad traits, as he is a gentle soul and is always in concern about each member, that no member is left behind. He is also a cheerful and playful person. V seems to be an extremely friendly and carefree person, so it is admirable that he can express himself in such a unique way. But that does not mean that he is ignorant about this trait, he is obedient to his hyungs and has a big heart, especially to kids. Jungkook may seem like a introverted person, but that really only shows when he is in the public, it has been revealed that when away being away from the public, he is a talkative and communicates often. He is also a very talented person, as well as having a competitive side that allows him to do his best in the moment. Not to mention that he is caring.

When all of the members come together, they shine the brightest that way 💜🎆

Wow! This is one of the best things I read today. Thank you :borahae:

The first thing that came to my mind was this. Recently BTS appeared on the talk show and Suga said this. Many BTS members have talked about the topic previously since this is the recent one hence easier for me to find lol.

During the interview with Jin and Suga, host Yoo Jae Suk tells Suga about how they talked about something he had said that resonated with J-Hope.

"We talked about this earlier with the other members about ‘fear of falling but not of landing’.”

Suga revealed that although they were grateful for how far they’ve come, they still wonder if they deserve it.

"We have to be able to see the ground to some extent. When we see the ground on an airplane, we know that we are flying, but if you are in the clouds, it doesn’t feel like we are flying. Although we are truly honored and grateful, we sometimes wonder if coming this far was what we really wanted."

    — Suga

He expressed the pressure of receiving so much attention just for doing something that he loved.

"It’s too burdensome. All we did was do our job by working hard, but people take it as we have contributed to the country, making it too burdensome."

    — Suga

He felt that it was better to step down when they had the chance to instead of trying to stay in the spotlight.

"I’ve seen a lot of other artists that couldn’t perform at venues after their time in the spotlight faded away. Ever since I was young, I thought that it would be better to step down when you can instead of being blamed and mocked by people for it."

    — Suga

His wish is to continue to perform on stage for the fans, regardless of number or size.

"I hope to continue to perform on stage until the very end. I think that is the best way to come down from the spotlight. Even if the audience reduces from 50,000 to 2,000 people, it is our way of landing gracefully by performing for those people."

    — Suga

Suga concluded that because the fall was something that he had to endure with everyone, he was no longer afraid of the end.

I hope you read it all. I know it's alot but it gets deeper as you read more. Thank you.

Songwriters don't only write lyrics. There are many other things like melodies which are most often than not done by the songwriters themselves. That's why sometimes we see the same credited artists for composers and songwriters even though both are different jobs. In short even if you only write melody and don't write any lyric of a song, you're credited in both categories. So there's that.

As for lyrics, I'll say probably writing a part of a song like a verse or a bridge or chorus should be minimum to be given credit as a songwriter imo.

    Not similar chord progression.

Not even close to similar melody.

    Not even the similar structure....

So I don't get the similarity point but I do understand the rapping argument. Rap heavy elements can give similar vibes but that can be said about all YGE songs.

Btw 1TYM is the best period of Teddy as a producer alongside 2NE1. Otherwise he is just repetitive and not as creative as other producers in the industry.

Only BTS & Seo Taiji and the boys have been dominating #1 in k-pop history. Others have always been behind in one metric or another. So it is not logical to expect Big Bang to be dominating #1 because no one else did so as well including all the groups mentioned in the OP.

My answer to the title is yes because Big Bang just like many other k-pop groups was #1 boy group at one point in their career.

Adding to that I'll say Big Bang is also one of the most impactful k-pop groups of all time. Probably only behind the two artists I mentioned above. And both these artists do not share their career timeline with Big Bang so yeah there's that. So Yes, Big Bang was #1 kpop boy group.

    These are all iconic songs.

Songs which BTS will be remembered for.

DOPE : "First time with BTS?" and it was the first time for many people with BTS. One of the best choreos alongside the chord progression.

Mic Drop : This is like an anthem. Probably the most hard hitting diss for the haters. That bridge is iconic. Will never forget this one.

Black Swan : What to say about this song? It is one of the best kpop songs ever. Everything is close to perfection. From melody, lyrics to vocals, choreo.

The point none of these will come off as 'songs promoted alongside title tracks' because these all sound like title tracks themselves.

I'm not choosing one over the other. Because every single song has a huge significance for ARMYs and BTS.

This is fuckjng difficult you know.

It is always difficult to choose one between any of the rapline tracks (if 'Tear' isn't one of the options).

These guys are geniuses. They make a great song one after the other. There isn't a single rapline songs I'd skip ever.

And now choosing between these three. It's impossible. I mean how can I chose one out of these three bops. All of them are iconic. I give up. I am not voting..... But I am gonna listen to them right now.

    HYYH era hits different.

Every single release is iconic from this era.

I Need U, Dope, Run, Young Forever, Fire, Save Me.... wow! And these are just title tracks or promoted singles.

Legendary songs across three albums like House of Cards, Butterfly, Converse High, Whalien 52, Dead Leaves, Sea and many more.... oh my god! Fuck I have to listen to HYYH triology today. Again!

Don't give a damn about these solo stans so no opinion on them.

    Now onto the members :

The last 5 years have been unexpected for them. The things that have happened in these years are unimaginable so I guess it was good by Big Hit to not give them solos during these times.

But now is the time to start their solo careers. Boys know what they're now and definitely have alot of their individuality to show to the world.

Definitely excited to see what they have in store for us. It's gonna be a very long ride with BTS and I'm here for that all the time.
