It's the group that got me into K-POP.
That's really impressive. It's also remarkable that Soyeon was featured on Wow Thing a month later, followed by a collab with KEY four months later. Her talent was already acknowledged early on in the biz.

Soyeon's rapping and stage presence left me in awe. I was slightly aware of K-POP before and brushed it off. However, her performance made me take a serious interest in it.
Display MoreI still don't agree but since it's already stablished the whole generation system
well, there are other 5th generation groups like rize, kiss of life , boynextdoor and probably hybe's new gg too

Does this mean you'll no longer post "(G)I-DLE is 3rd gen" EVERY time they're mentioned as 4th gen?
I rather have it this way since we get to see her way more often.
This is garbage compared to Wow Thing.
Miyeon is surely beloved. The episode was a nice send-off for Miyeon.
It's amazing she has been the MC for so long. She's become the longest-serving MC in MCD's history.
Fortunately, she'll now have a break in her packed schedule.
Yes, they own many companies that debut and produce groups.
And of course Kakao contributed to the success of these companies. They own part of Starship and StayC's company. To get ownership, they inject money, get on the Board, and decide what happens in the company. Regarding Cube, which they don't even own them, Kakao is giving them $60 million USD won over 5 years for the distribution rights. This is money other small companies don't have access to, to help produce and market their groups.
Cube has (G)I-DLE who were doing well even before the Kakao deal. They also have Lightsum who are flopping and not benefitting from that $60 mil.
I saw a Nevie say that Liz confirmed that they hadn't shot any scenes together. That's disappointing.
Why do people relate Kakao and Cube as if the former owns the latter and has a say in the operations?
Those are decent sales even if she's blacklisted in KR.
Sales are pretty good despite being canceled in Korea and being away for two years.
Don't forget this crossover:
It's quite obvious there's a missing main vocalist in the WY-K-SY lineup, and Miyeon would've been a great choice. Yes.
I'm not certain SY will be in the collab. Miyeon was recently seen coming out of the KBS building for some unknown reason.
A few Idle song instrumentals I love:
Oddly Soyeon is the most unpopular in (G)I-DLE when it comes to Insta followers, fancam viewers, and solo album sales. She also receives the most hate from netizens.
Yet she's the center, the main producer, and the best female rapper in K-POP. Her stage presence is unmatched and she is also the highest earning member.
Speculation of members include Miyeon and Winter.
