you can have good ratings but your ep make no impact
topicality measure if the show was a big topic or no, and aespa apparition in the show definitely boost KB and made it a hot topic in korea afterwards
It was a big topic bcoz last ep didn't have any guest.
Which were among the lower ratings of their years, but true, not the very lowest seeing how Seventeen and Mamamoo had even lower in those same years.
The fact that so far ITZY had the misfortune to have the absolute lowest Nielsen ratings for this year is hopefully not a sign of deteriorating popularity. Tbh, not sure at all how Nielsen ratings should be interpreted in this context (Knowing Bros watching audience didn't like the episode? Or tune out when it's idols in the episode?)
Luckily Aespa have experienced huge popularity spikings in other platforms and media
During their year highest was 6.9 and what BP got was above average..in korea aespa is doing very well but on youtube and spotify not so much

If big fandom was enough to sustain top ten then it wouldn't have taken decade to break lies top ten record.
Nah once u have enough ul it takes time to be out of top ten ... But before chart reform song can directly top the charts.
How many weeks have next level been on top 10 ?
one more thing, dalla dalla was in top 10 in melon before reform when it was easier to chart while next level is on top 10 after reform when it has become much more difficult to chart
It was harder to stay long in top ten before but now it is easier to stay once u enter top ten.
Actually Previous episode didn't have any guest but still manage to score 3% rating.
For me its a BOp... Loved eveything about it.
Since they don't use ads on first day so around 20m...but i can see their increase in international fandom so maybe 25m.
On youtube chart( without ads) BM debut with 22.9 m views on 1st week and second week with 13.9m views.
Next level debut with 24.9m views and 2nd week with 11.7m....on 3rd week both of these song didn't chart.
So almost 60% views of Next level came from ads.
Black mamba did better on youtube and spotify.
It took 35 days for black mamba to cross 80m well for next level only 9 days.

Blackmamba debut with 22.7m views and 2nd week with 13.9m views.
So it give a sense of popularity that Nl is doing far better than BM on youtube.. but in reality BM is doing better... So its a way to promote group.
They’ve still got a strong fan base but they might face competition with new groups like Aespa.
Even after almost 1 year hylt still charting on youtube chart without ads... Aespa in second week charted with only 11.9 m views( on 3rd week they aren't gonna chart) same for itzy also
on first day BP bsides got double or triple streams more on spotify than aespa or itzy title track.
On instagram... Bp member would get 60-70k followers on daily basis...wheras other group has to comback to cross 20k.
