I'm trying to get into the group since debut but this one wasn't really it. I got tired of mamba real quick but forever is still on repeat. The mv and outfits were amazing but the song felt like there were so many things happening all at once which made it difficult to digest. The chorus is a demo from fast & furious which just shows how lazy SM is and we have another single like I was expecting at least a mini album since it takes them a while to comeback : / . There were some good parts, others not so much. I understand the storyline but it's not really captivating me anymore. In my opinion, I think this is not the best group sm ever created. Not bashing the girl because they're hella talented but the way SM is bringing out the group isn't too good and they don't chart too well. Idk how they'll do in the future (obviously better since many group starts out like this) but right now I'm gonna pause here haha.

Honestly True Beauty. I read the webtoon and was so excited when they stated it will be remade as a kdrama. I'm not even half way done the damn show lmao but I hate how they kinda changed Joo kyung's personality and pretty much a few other characters and I felt like her sister's romance was kinda extra and unnecessary? Everything in general was just way over the top which made me cringe and idk they just tried too hard to make it funny etc. Maybe I had high expectations since I was reading it but even if I watched it without any context, it wouldn't have been my cup of tea :|

Honestly their entire discography is amazing which I would recommend to check out but here are some of my faves. This will prob be long :')

I feel like not many people talks about the group anymore which makes me a bit sad but I hope you end up enjoying some of these:-)

    (ps. r u a jeogyeon bias?! )

Look guys, I don’t think that the OP is glad (happy/joyful) that BTS didn’t win. The OP is not being gleeful about it. It’s more of a consoling glad.. like look at the bright side glad.

So I can see your point of view, OP. Yes it’s better if they win with a Korean song, but the best scenario is that they win with Dynamite this year and then win with a Korean song next year. Of course there will be next year. Mark my words.

Thank youuuuuu! A Seokjin stan :S

Dude are you sure you are a fan of them???

How can you be glad BTS didn’t achieve their dreams

Man I guess its hard to explain myself. Don't judge me based this damn opinion saying i'm the type of person who tells people to not follow their dreams and that I'm "not even human". Do I need proof to show that I am an army or something? I have to be completely sad and can't find something that was a bit different than what everyone else thought? BTS probably learned a lot from this experience and might have an idea of what they can do in order to finally get to their goals which I can't wait to see happen! But as a poc I'm tired of seeing people from this group who always gives their 100 but can never reach the top due to so many judgmental factors playing around in the industry. I fricking said I UNDERSTOOD WHY THE DAMN GRAMMYS ARE IMPORTANT TO THEM which I don't judge them for trying to get it BUT for me I don't take it seriously like that cuz I'm not a singer and I know how shady this whole industry is! Bruh like I was the happiest person when they won their BMA and cheered when they came to the Grammys for the first time cuz that's when I knew they were big and had so much to look forward to in the future. Maybe my opinion wasn't perfectly/ nicely/ kindly worded as I wanted it to sound but this is why I'm always nervous to post thoughts that are a bit out of the box (i dont even know if i should call this a controversial topic) in this forum cuz of people judging you based of off something that may sound a bit different than what most people may think.

They're artists.. from South Korea.. Grammys have been (and still are, despite everything) one of the biggest music award shows out there so for them it's a goal in their career. They've said multiple times they've dreamt of receiving one and that's all that should matter to a fan- who cares what you (speaking generally for any fan) thinks of this? It's what they personally want, and as a fan, you should support that.

I understand feeling like they don't need it, or the validation, but that still doesn't change what I said above. As for Dynamite- they literally pulled out all stops for this and made it in English so the recording academy would have no excuse, and they didn't. That just shows even more how unfair the night played out. Adding that to them using the boys as a mere tool for views and hype around the show while not even giving them a proper introduction and pushing their performance back?

So being "glad" they didn't win- after years of them working so hard and rightfully deserving it- not cool. They know the impact their music has, and they know their fans will be behind them 100% percent; that doesn't negate their dream to receive an award. They literally said in their reaction video that they'd try next year.

I said "kinda" which for me meant half-half since there was obviously those issues you stated plus my idea that made it slightly positive in my eyes. They can totally keep releasing amazing music in order to one day get that Grammy since it is pretty much an end game/ jackpot for many artists to receive til this day. If it takes all this sacrifice and going towards a sound that caters to the Grammy values in order to receive it one day than we'll obviously keep moving forward with it. The more I started to know about these award shows, I ended up realizing how they are not as important as it seems to be. Well I digress but, I guess I wouldn't harbor the same feelings as them since I'm just a normal person.

I really don't want BTS to care about Grammys anymore. It's painful to see them disappointed. honestly f*ck Grammys. Just release whatever music you like. It was the public and fans that made what BTS is today. Whether Grammys would actually let them to win, it doesn't matter when you've won hearts for real.

exactly! at the end of the day all that matters is how your music impacted other people's lives.

I am assuming you didn't see their reaction or vlive after the grammys.

That's their legit goal and they want to achieve it.

I don't see anything good about being happy about someone not getting something they worked for.

Oh yes I did see it and felt bad cuz they're getting closer little by little but its just exhausting seeing them being played like this. I know the Grammy means a lot for many artists due to exposure etc but during the past few years it hasn't been the same and it's obviously easy to see where their true intentions lies. BTS can keep going and I will always support them since they've been defeating the odds since their debut but there will be moments you gotta open your eyes and see the reality of things.

In my opinion, I am kinda glad they didn't win a Grammy because these men had to release a whole english song in order to get validated! I would've been happy if it was one of their korean songs. Like I enjoyed Dynamite for a bit but deep down for me it felt like it wasn't them.

I knew it would be impossible for them to finally receive a Grammy after all these years of being used as a way to gain views and I know for a fact some of the members knew deep down they wouldn't receive it this time.

Also, it's so annoying how spanish musicians can be acknowledged but many poc don't receive the credits they deserved (like make it make sense how Nicki Minaj never won one?!) I stopped watching it long time ago because it was getting hella boring, many of my favourite artists weren't coming anymore and obviously cuz the award is corrupt. We can see how the Grammy is slowly dying.

I hope BTS stops giving them favours and keeps breaking their own records cuz they don't need that damn trophy to validate how they finally made it because ARMYs and many other people in the world can already see it :borahae:

Not really the point here, but what do you think it's the name of her title track?? Bc you keep putting OTF when it's OTG... Or you made a mistake?? Kkkk just my observation....

But I liked it. It was suitable for her and she chose it herself so yes. And it's doing incredible ww and yes, in k charts too. She is just slaying and having a successful debut!

About the other too... I hope Lisa goes to Hip Hop, upbeat, dance type of song and Jisoo maybe can do a pop song too or slow or like Castle from Halsey!

i just realized I made a mistake of the abbreviation after posting lol but yeah I feel like your prediction for Lisa and Jisoo are pretty accurate

Honestly, this title track was kinda bland. Like the meaning behind the lyrics is good but the song in general didn't have that "wow" or memorable factor. It's not something I would listen to on a daily. Also, the chorus was just meh :/ since I felt like it didn't fit well with the whole thing especially that little part in the background (lol dunno if yall get it). Maybe because it's a slow song?

In my opinion, I feel like Gone would've been a way better title track because her voice in this track is sooo soothing and the chorus is just super nice (come on when she states all my love is goooone yall feel thatttt?!). Idk how OTG is doing on the charts right now but I thing Gone would've been an amazing song to showcase her image.

Lastly, Solo by Jennie for me is still top tier since it was pretty addicting (til it got over played lol), the lyrics made me feel like a bad b, the choreo was eye catching and it's something that is still very memorable til this day and I don't see OTG doing the same...

In conclusion, ok song but feel like it was missing something. It just feels like a basic pop song to me but other than that congrats to her for finally having her solo out and can't wait to see what the last two have to offer :)

    What are your thoughts??? :S

Apparently she got gorilla glue confused with gorilla snot. Gorilla snot sounds so gross.

if you check her socials, she's someone that constantly does her hair and there's a huge difference between these 2 companies. One bottle shows a bunch of pics and statements stating its for craft, repair, etc and even warns to NOT be put on skin while the Snot one states its a hair gel like common how could she have confused that. And yeah ur right i dont like the name gorilla snot :/

    i... feel bad for her, but also, why doesn't she know ;-;

she's a whole 40 year old!!! at the end of the day i feel like all of this was a goal to end up trending and since she succeeded, now it may affect her health...
