As everyone else said, I don't think there is any definite winner. BP by far did the best if we consider all fields, then IVE, then New Jeans and then SNSD. So far we don't know where Twice stands but they also did great looking at their pre-order numbers.

It's clear that Mnet is catering to incels but the thing I don't get is why.

The reason SWF dance groups were able to be as successful as they are is because they had lots of female fans.

Even if this show does become popular after all this incel content it's not as if male fans are going to be lining up in droves to support these other dudes.

Korea loves them as they should.

Well, at least some people are able to enjoy it. I still hope it performs really well but I can't help but just scratch my head wondering why Starship went with this track. Now that I think about it, I also rarely enjoy retro disco funky tracks. Because it sampled I Will Survive though, one of the few that I love, I didn't think anything of it. But that genre can really be a hit or miss.

I also feel like the more I listen to it the more i'm not feeling it. It's really the opening verse of the song. It doesn't have IVE vibes to it. It sounds like a cute girl group concept like something Kep1er would sing.

Also, I should have known the instant that guy who did NCT Sticker and Step Back was on the production team was a bad omen (me not liking it as much as i'd hoped).

I'm so surprised so many people are surprised at the sales number. I've been saying they are going to hit 1 million for a while now. I wasn't talking just to talk.

Ive last album hit 700k with just 76k Ktown pre-orders. And I know Ktown is just one site but can kind of guess roughly based on other group data that those who hit over 100k sales on Ktown usually sell lots of albums. This time around IVE hit 150k which is absolutely bonkers. I think the record for 4th gen girl group on Ktown is 158k or so and Ive nearly broke it.

If that wasn't enough, Korean alone is enough to give you huge sales domestically and Yujin has been on FIRE in Korea with her reality show that's been hitting over 3% in rating and her search volume exploded.

Then you have the Cbars that completely stepped up their game this comeback. Last round Wonyoung cbar only ordered about 90k albums and this time around they around around 150k. Not to mention all the other cbars grew a lot as well.

Then all the overseas concerts and promotions they've done.

But somehow I saw even on anons people were really asking if IVE would actually hit 1 Million this comeback and replies were actually saying something like "nah, 800k" 🤡

This might sound funny coming from me but I'm actually not crazy about this track. I mean, I already knew it would be hard for anything to top Love Dive for me, but in terms of freshness I don't even think this beats even Eleven. Tbh I was expecting more. It's not bad, though I'm not particularly fond of the "You and I" part, I do like the wordplay "what's after like". I often feel like Kpop idols are always reusing popular english phrases that they heard before in their songs like how "Love Yourself" was rehashed a million times after one artist seemed to discovered it. So to see them playing with English and asking their own quirky question I really adore.

As for the bside..... Sigh. It seems like I am doomed to just not like IVE bsides no matter what. This is a painful realization that will probably have me passive-aggressive toward Starship for a long while. It's something about the vocal processing that grates my ears. Urgh. Really tired of that kind of sound. I was expecting smooth clear vocals but there was so much like... I don't know how to describe it other than like "buzzing" on the track My Satisfaction. Like I'm straining to listen to the vocals through the sound of a blender.

All in all, the general vibe I got from After Like was "just okay". If they weren't my bias group I would honestly give this a blop for being slightly underwhelming.

Hoping for a good live stage. The choreography might spice things up for me.

I wasn't sure where the teasers were going but I can already tell I'll be into this track.

I really wanted to like it, but I have to be honest and say BLOP. I wasn't feeling the beginning when Jennie was rapping, I love the girl, but she was putting on some kind of accent idk it just threw me off. The song is all over the place and I knew I was pretty much done with this style of music, but for some reason, I didn't think it would affect my enjoyment since it's BP. I kind of feel a sense of that "dead dove" meme with the paper bag. Like, I'm not sure what I was expecting. This is BP style after all, but somehow I was still slightly disappointed. It sounded pretty jarring to me now after having gotten used to the newer tone that groups are setting now.

The biggest pro of this song to me was the video itself. I loved it and I loved the fashion. This was definitely Blackpink's best looks for me hands down. I especially loved Lisa and (shockingly) Jisoo.

I think this song definitely has the potential to grow on me though, especially after watching the live stages.

Lisa I think definitely. And for the first time ever I'll mention Jisoo actually being the #2 scene stealer.

eh. I feel like maybe we just got really used to regular songs in Blackpink's absence that Pink Venom just comes off as really jarring. I honestly felt like I went in expecting to like it a lot but it was no HYLT for me. After a few listens maybe tho. On the bright side it's just a single. The actual album comes out next month and probably with the better track.

hmmm.... I don't know what I was expecting but.... I'm not sure about this one. Jennie's opening rap was.... but anyway, I will say I LOVED the fashion. 11/10. The visuals were amazing. Lisa stood out the most, and I can see why she's so popular. As for Jisoo, this is the first time she's actually caught my attention. I can't believe YG waited this long to give her bangs.
