ever since blackpink started getting huge amounts of approval from white americans ( the highest form of honor in korea ) groups modelled after them aka hiphop, flexing, female idols ( except bts ) are considered cool, and twice is the opposite of that.....so not cool

you might point out newjeans or ive but they're considered "cool" too but by being young quirky teens

twice are adults singing about adult love

so not cool

i could say this about bigbang 2pm and a lot of 2nd gen boygroups

honestly, 2nd gen bgs were probably the best live performers in kpop history

tbh every nation has high level singing comps where all contestants would wipe the floor with established popstars in skill, and kpop is probably bottom of the barrel among popstars
