It will when the K-pop boom ends and the bubble bursts

No. 2022 sale has increased massively. Everyone have to reach a saturation point. Any group that comeback recently, I reckon their Next comeback will not increase that much. So we still need to see aespa, Itzy, Twice, enhypen, Blackpink, Seventeenth and BTS sale this year to gauge their selling power. From there we can make a comparison.

No, if one of them manage to increase the gap like BTS distanced from others its possible.
That can be achieved if said group manages to attract new fans to kpop, as new fans don't know anything about big3, kpop idols etc.
The one that manage to attract new kpop fans with their music and charisma only will be the ones leading this gen.

Nah, One group is gonna end up landsliding the others after they reach certain point, for bg's its txt rn and for gg's its gonna be a close one between ive and aespa, lessaerfim is doing pretty good with sales and its only their debut so there's them who could snatch the top place after they grow and theres itzy whos doing consistently and 2 national hits under their belt e.t.c.

you are maybe on something but I think for now we don't but few after, when 5gen will debut we will be able to look back at 4th gen and measure who had the most impact on the culture like how blackpink started a way of group with girl crush concept and which idols impacted pop culture the most like Jennie popularize bi-color hair in kpop. For now I only see itzy in 4th gen who had a true impact on the culture. Aespa has some impact but very little compare to itzy. The most popular girl right know is wonyoung but she seem to have no impact on the culture for now, compare to someone like hyuna or Lee hybrid. Hyuna popularize the high pitched rap style.

I agree with everyone that maybe in 2 years, we'll see the clear picture but I also didn't see such even competitions during 2nd and 3rd gen. There were always a gap between the one top and the rest. It just feels different with 4th gen overall. And if companies keep inventing ways to inflate album sales just to top each other, it would be even harder to determine who's the true winner.
