The Beatles had one in the mid 90's. I have that one and it was all their hits plus a few unreleased ones.

I just got to know that compilation, best of the best is not the same as anthology

That is a repackage album, not an anthology. An anthology album goes beyond repackaging and best of compilations. It includes remastered tracks, remixes, demos, unreleased works, etc.
