Well NCT dream is more considered to be a 4th gen group and i know they doubted the same year as Black pink but usually they get group with 4gen in general the whole NCT situation is weird cuz new members keeps on being added and unit debuting under the same name

I could understand Wayv being considered 4th gen since they debuted in 2018 but Dream will literally be entering their sixth year soon

Yeah i know but when it comes to Nct it's so hard to group them with any generation

to who?? i have never seen someone try to claim nct dream was a "top 4th gen bg". the boyz is the oldest group people mention and then its skz, and txt who debuted in 2018 and 2019 respectively. such a shocker that nct dream, a group that debuted over a year before the boyz, 2 years before skz and 3 years before txt is doing better than them lol. bgs have to slowly build up their presence in sk unlike ggs who can debut at the top.

why are HYBE groups not charting as well as others?

except for bts and maybe up seventeen, all hybe groups are miles behind sm, jyp and yg artists in terms of korean charts, despite having arguably the best and most gp friendly discographies. why is that?

HYBE groups do really well

their boy groups at least

to be fair though

i feel like hybe has been cursed when it comes to Girl groups cause there is always something wrong ( scandolus, but idk all the history on HYBE's GG's so correct me if you wish)

They’re 3rd Gen. I only ever see non NCTzens try and make that 4th Gen argument because of their age, but the group has been around for 6 years.

But no 4th Gen bg is charting well in Korea and Hybe’s bgs are all 4th Gen other than BTS or Seventeen, so it’s not a Hybe problem, it’s the generational problem.

Also, I thought TXT were the highest charting 4th Gen bg, so that makes the argument kinda null..
