There are two sides to this:

1. kpop stans using him paved the way while discrediting/ not acknowledging BTS

- causing BTS fans to explicitly explain that GS was way too big than PSY and was treated as a “meme fun song” by locals

- this made kpop stans angry bcos bts fans were disrespecting PSY

2. BTS member collaborated with PSY

- Psy is a loser bcos he received “poor results” despite, esp bcos now armys are also streaming his songs and it’s a free game to trash whoever that is involved with BTS

sorry for saying this but he would've flopped if it weren't for Suga.

On top of that, he has no dedicated fandom like 4th bgs to mass buy his albums (and these fandoms only buy them for photocards or a chance to get into a fansign). He's mostly public driven and the charting on Korean charts already shows that.
