The success of Lesserafilm will start a new era of Kpop superteams.

  • With how HYBE has bought out the Chaewon's contract from Woollim and acquiring free agents Sakura and Heo Yunjin, I think this will start a new era of Kpop superteams similar to NBA superteams like the LeBron-led Miami Heat or KD-Curry Golden State Warriors, where companies will simply acquire talents and known idols with fanbase to redebut their own groups, rather than simply debuting unknown idols.

I know not every company has the resources and money like HYBE to simply get every popular idol to one group, but I believe there will be companies desperate enough to put all eggs in one basket and attempt to recreate this. The groups could release half-ass music but with popular members and well-known brands, their fanbase will eat up everything they see and hear and boost the album sales to crazy numbers.

  • Considering how little kpop is about actual music. I think it would behoove anyone with resources to do exactly what you're talking about. Though I wouldn't compare it to the NBA big 3 and the like, simply because competition only exists in kpop fans minds. Though as with sports, I could see a scenario where "free agent" idols start making tons of money to sing with a label, I mean, if BP were to disband, how much do you think one of those girls would get to sign with a label? It could change kpop forever.

  • Sakura was a smart move for sure. And theoretically it's even smarter to not try and get Wonyoung (if they didn't), because that rivalry will make their fans sweat blood to try and make sure their faves' group is more successful - because of her fans.

This might end up the craziest rivalry since Blackpink member fandom v Blackpink member fandom. In fact I'm expecting a lot of those akgaes to jump ship to 4th gen so they can get involved in the juicier fights.

  • The "success of lesserafim".

We really going to act like they already successful without even debut now? ?(

  • Are we already assuming that they will be successful with even debut?

  • we act like they are going to be successful now without them even debuting?

  • It's a smart move, they certainly have their fanbase part covered right from debut with Sakura included.

Chaewon also must be overjoyed that MNet's manipulations got her into MNet's IZ*One group even without qualifying. She wouldn't have made it into HYBE's first girl group otherwise. A major career move, some people have all the luck.

She's still more talented than half of the izone girls so mnet made the right choice if they rigged it for her. When they didn't rig it, they got someone like Bahiyyih lmao. Hybe bought Chaewon's contract because they saw her potentials and abilities, why else they make her a leader and give her lots of killing parts in every video?

She has her charms but yeah, arguably one of the luckiest idols in recent years. She was amongst the lower ranks at the last eliminations and they flatout just threw her in there, now she's enjoying all the merits from being in a Produce group and a Hybe group.

LMAO so desperate for them to fail. Yeah, they will be successful, even without debuting. How successful is a question. But they already have the early engagement and interest. I'd be very surprised if they aren't immediately bigger than StayC. Chaewon was arguably the trending member when Izone disbanded, and Sakura brings a huge fandom alone. Throw in the fact that it's a strong visual line-up and you know Koreans will eat it up. Garam might be a problem with her unresolved rumours, but there are plenty of idols who have come back as strong after scandals.

The only ones that got away with bullying rumors were the ones that either proved it was false (Kihyun) or publicly solved the issue with their victim (Taeyong), both cases with the victim speaking in their favor. Soojin got kicked out of her own group, Hyujin and Lia are still hated by knetz everyday. April? Over. T-ara never fully recovered from the fake rumor. What are the other examples? I guess we could count Mingyu, he recovered from all the ugly rumors, but I didn't follow so I'm not sure how he recovered from that as from what I read, it was one of the worst cases.

  • people talk about the produce rigging without understanding that EVERYTHING was rigged. Even the ones who made the top 12 with votes were bribed in for the most part. That goes with favourable narratives, early info, praise and screentime, etc. Starship employees were convicted of bribery not for nothing lol. Stop singling out two members for the final top when the investigation clearly said every step of the way was rigged and we could see it.

Chowon and gaeun so unlucky and stuck doing nothing while this girl enjoys all luxury of life. One of the luckiest idols ever

  • When will we have Fantasy Football for kpop groups including fans/gamblers who lose half of their retirement fund to a bad bet?

  • Chowon and gaeun so unlucky and stuck doing nothing while this girl enjoys all luxury of life. One of the luckiest idols ever

The producers made a better decision than the public. Chaewon has more potential than Chowon and Gaeun.

Itzy and SKZ haven't lost that much steam, even after the scandals. T-ara took some years but were forgiven. Irene and Red Velvet are stronger than before. Karina made a successful debut despite being targeted pre-debut.

I'm not saying that Garam is going to be the most popular member in Korea, but I think her scandal will have minimal impact, main reason is that Le Sserafim seems to be targeted towards an international audience anyway.

Starship would never let wonyoung go

And what makes you came to this conclusion? No offense but Chowon and Gaeun has shown a lot more in PD48 compared to Chaewon, and if the scripts were flipped and Chowon and Gaeun got their spots in Iz*One, they could be showing their talents a lot more right now.

All hypothethical at the end of the day, but it's a bit unfair to say Chaewon has more potential Chowon and Gaeun when they had their opportunities taken away from them.
