Recently I was preparing for a research conference with a student in my uni class. She was quite busy as she raises her baby who is only 7 months also at the same time study. I understand her and has done majority of the research. But we couldn't finish perfectly due date. I am a kind of person who only send my research articles to conference if only I thought that it turned out perfect and just like I have planned. So I have told her that the research is still so lacking so let's just pass this conference. I have felt bad for her cause she might have trusted me that i can finish it perfectly. She said okay with such disappointing voice and said to me to send the final version of the research article we have done cause she want to read. Later that day I felt bad so I have requested the conference organizers to extend the due date. Next day they sent me email showing the name of participants and said if u want to participate sent your work today. So as I was seeing the name of participants, the name of the girl i was preparing the research article was there. I was confused as I have asked her then she said she has sent the unfinished article we have done and she is participating alone. I was confused as hell, she like told me nothing, if i haven't contacted the research conference organizers i wouldn't know she would be participating with the research article that i have contributed majority but alone. These kind of things happen to me a lot, it has happened in school, uni everywhere. She could just said let's just sent the unfinished one and just participate the conference together, is it really hard to do that? or people really like to take credit from other's hardwork? I just don't understand this mentality.
I don't know why it happens to me a lot times /genuine

The research arena, although scientific, involves some of the most vicious mentalities I've ever seen.
People steal credit, people fake claim that others stole their work, people have even threatened and carried out lawsuit to shut another up.
I honestly wanted to do some research but I think I might just not go to graduate school because of this kind of environment.

no, that's normal, protecting your work is very important. it's like telling someone a joke quietly and then that person repeats the same joke, but loud and gets all the attention. then you want to throw your hands and shout credit to me!!111 I swear some of these bitchess really want to steal everything and as soon as you give them loud and clear reaction hoes wanna cry....

Ugh I’m sorry that happened to you.
There’s actually several studies on the psychosocial work environment of academia. Since there’s so much individual prestige it brings out the worst in some. I’m only a PhD student but I’ve already seen my fair share.
Make note who behaves like that. Never work w them again and tell all your friends!

I understand you very well, this has often happened to me at school, so when I was in college I tried to do everything myself. It takes more time but I know I can only hope for myself and it's cool. I often turned to https://writinguniverse.com/free-essay-examples/americas/ for help with studying and it gave me the opportunity to get a good grade and dedicate this time to the project. Try to work yourself and everything will be fine
