at what point is it too late

  • if you'd reject him despite liking him so much, god that dude must be ugly

Lmao, he's not ugly. He's average. I'm just picky. He's pretty picky too. He actually told me he was attracted to me when we first became friends, but after he got to know me, he doesn't think he could ever EVER date me due to my personality... :pepecute:

  • but what if the timing is not exactly coordinated

I don't think I understand, you mean you don't know if it's the right time or not? If that's what you mean, I'm afraid that's one of the biggest conflicts when it comes to love, some people might like each other a lot yet they don't meet at the right time, but at least they had the feeling of trying to work it out

Personally I believe that if your feelings are genuine (you actually like the person instead of just fancy them) being honest once you realize what you feel is always the best way because if 1. the other feels the same way you can be together, 2. they don't feel the same way you can at least move on and find closure.

Edit: Also, if the other person likes you back but don't realize it they'll be the one regreting this later not you lol anyway watch 13 going 30 for a live action about this situation

13 Going on 30. Jennifer Garner is hilarious in this movie! And Mark Ruffalo is adorable. | Romantic movies, Movie scenes, Love movie

    i mean

if two people become friends first, they can technically develop feelings for each other at the same time

and that'd be a great relationship

    except

one doesnt know if the other likes them

    so

whoever makes the first move ( can be dropping a hint, flirting or straight up asking out ) is taking a huuuuuuge risk

how do they know if the time is right to make the first move ?

  • I see, I think the only time you just cannot do it is when the other person is in a relationship, any other time it's probably a good time because you're already suffering in silence, might as well rip that band aid and know for real if you can move on or not.

It's personal for everyone I guess, I myself could only keep it if I REALLY depended on that friendship, if I saw them everyday, hang out with them a lot etc I'd try to read the signs here and there, but if it was a friend I could move on I'd be honest. Idk, I just think it's better to say it if you're sure of your feelings.

  • My partner and I were just friends for a couple of years when we met in '98, and we didn't go on our first date until 2001. It wasn't too late for us as our love blossomed over time and I didn't think of him as a love interest at first. I was the one who asked him for a dinner date at my place and he accepted. I cooked him a meal.
