why do people bully txt for privilege and act like other 4th gen groups had it worse?

    It is unfair. Think about it. Other groups with survival shows were able to create a fanbase before debut so they maintained their popularity after debut. TXT did not have a show to create a predebut fandom. All they had going for them was curiosity and a potential fandom. That is why their popularity sadly plummeted from 100 to 20 when it comes to views, charting, wins on music shows etc after debut because most people weren't willing to stan, they were only curious. Imagine starting off your career with something like 12million views and then barely getting 2mil on your comeback. That would hurt my self esteem tbh. Anyway not getting into it, their music is what is building their fanbase now just like everybody else.

    You forgot they have yet to release anything that's better than Crown. Starting to think Crown was original a song for BTS.

    I love how some people only bring up privilage when it comes to TXT. So much BS

    HYBE gives the most privilege

    cus they are the biggest kpop company right now, they have the biggest act, so group they will check out after bts would always be txt or bp

    also hybe gives the best music for their groups cus they have great producers team, u wouldn't see it in big 3, sm groups esp nct always gets hit and miss songs, look at how itzy's music has gone down and whatever mess nmixx recieves, and treasure always get dragged by their mediocre music that yg has given to them, but everyone praises hybe music, being provided by good music is privilege since afterall they're not making that music, if they were in some nugu company, or simply was under SM, they would always be dragged by their music and would be less successful

    they have good creative team, they have their own storyline and unique concept created by hybe creative team, that is one of their appeal, but for example yg would never do that to their groups for example, or some nugu company wouldnt afford that

    But if u take all these great treatments, they are just cute boys that dances well, they dont have the great vocals or stage presence

    but I do think Enhypen has more privilege since they coming from hybe and cj and survival show

    Nothing against them, but I'll try to explain from the perspective of an outsider why people might say that.

    Only Enhypen had a notable survival show. Produce X 101 was big, but X1 disbanded quickly. Stray Kids' "survival" show didn't generate a lot of attention, and viewers couldn't engage with the results which is an important appeal of true survival shows. Were there any others?     On the other hand, armys and non-armys alike were as you say, extremely curious about TXT, because they were the first junior group of BTS.


    If SM had a 4th gen boy group, people would probably talk less about TXT's privilege, because only SM stans are comparable to HYBE stans. However, the only big company 4th gen boy groups to compare TXT to, are:

    • Stray Kids, who are from JYP where girl groups start with a disproportionately bigger advantage, as the company is known for its iconic girl groups and mismanaging its boy groups; their success is an anomaly for the company. JYP stans are fewer and not as loud; and neither onces or ahgases were particularly supportive of them, still aren't.
    • Treasure, from YG, which in YG fashion has already mismanaged them a lot, such as by postponing their debut for a laughably long time, and not making them comeback for what, almost a year? In addition, YG stans dramatically dropped in numbers after the Burning Sun scandal in 2019. Blinks generally despise YG, and not only won't support anyone other than Blackpink, but are ready to attack anyone in the company who gets better treatment than Blackpink. Ikonics, as a fandom, never recovered from B.I's scandal, a lot of them switched to other groups before Treasure debuted.
    • Enhypen, who are under HYBE, and had a very anticipated and popular survival show.

    I'm not saying the first two didn't have advantages as they debuted, but I guess you can see the difference in the extent of those advantages, compared to TXT.


    The more consistency groups under a company have, the more about equally successful groups it has (because they're less likely to turn against the company and other groups under it), the more stans a company will have. SM currently fits this a lot more than the other two of big3. Bighit used to only have BTS who are undeniably successful so they fit in aspect. And while, yes I know, their music and image etc. isn't the same, there's still enough similarities.


    The thing is, army, or to be precise, hybe stan support doesn't end suddenly. A lot of armys of joined the fandom after 2019 are huge company stans for some godforsaken reason, and quickly turned into full blown hybe stans who will support anyone under the company. Even if TXT have their own fandom too now, people will always be quick to notice the company stans, because there's an inherent association between BTS and TXT.

    Why would they need a survival show if they're BTS little brothers...

    First you all said I-LAND flopped, now it's suddenly a hugely popular show, I have to laugh.

    Why is Enhypen the most privileged? To assess the privilege just compare their debut with TXT's - you'll see what's the most privileged group ever. :pepe-legs:
