I hope tomboy becomes a national hit and more groups include rock elements in their songs for good!!!!!!

  • Who?

If this is genuine curiousity, then I'll answer:

Dreamcatcher is a 7 member girl group. They debuted in 2017.

but prior to being the Dreamcatcher we know today, they previously went by Minx and had a more "cutesy" image.

Obviously, they re-debuted as Dreamcatcher and changed their image. They are known for their "dark" concepts as well as their signature rock sound.

They are supposed to comeback in April with a full length album, so if any of this peaked your interest, I'd say keep an eye out for it :)

  • Too long didn't read + ratio

  • Dreamcatcher who has been doing rock for ages 😢

But it's not the good kind of rock ;(.

I want them to do THIS kind of rock. Just like i want the BGs and other GGs to do this as well.

  • thank goodness dreamcatcher doesn't do this kind of rock

  • idk Dreamcatcher's songs are great :pepemusic: so idk why they have to do this

  • If it becomes a hit then I hope Rolling Quartz gets some love as well

Yes, I'm a fan of them . I love them so much... Yoohyeon is my bias! However , they are one of the few groups who include rock in their songs !

Pink fantasy, xdinary heroes,day6,n.flying,drug restaurant, rolling quartz, etc !

Yeah... There's some representation , but imo it's not enough . I need more !

If we compare groups that include rock elements with groups that include EDM elements, the difference is huge.

My thread never meant to leave aside dreamcatcher. I just made the thread because tomboy seems as a potential hit and the general public may open more for some rock which will benefit all the artists who already were doing it!!!

  • A) yes, justice for Dreamcatcher. Such an incredible group!

    B) more and more rock elements have been creeping through lately. I really hope it takes off.

BlackpinkHouse … what, you’ve never heard the Pedal to La mix of DNA…!? =O

I mean, no, don’t - it is terrible… (Husbandface the 80s rock obsessive genuinely loves it though. :watt: o_O)

Yep, it definitely improved the song. Something about Kpop rap/Korglish lyrics and 80s rock guitar/bass/drums. I cant get enough of it. I literally spent 1000 precious akorns on TXT, a group that i dont even know all the members of, just because of their power ballad Kpop megabop. 8|

  • yeah i get it, its just when rock mentioned there's always dreamcatcher and some krock bands pop to my mind so, and also rock has many sub genres that are different from each other so there's room for many, I think since kpop put much importance on dance it will always be dominated by edm since its basically dance music. But I also love the rock sounds in kpop so I would love more.
