(Female) Kpop music thriving in Korea in 2022: Why?

Like every year some female groups and soloists do well? And no not all hits are ballads on the charts.

By kpop I’m guessing you mean pop/dance songs by idols. Since the gp loves their ballads and slower songs.

We’d probably have to wait until year end charts to know if “kpop” made a comeback in 2022. It’s easy to look at daily or weekly Melon charts, but longevity would be better.

Two groups did bad in charts and someone said Kpop was dying in Korea? And others take this serious? Jesus, is really true when people say the bar is low with Kpoopies.

If Savage is still in the top 20 (i havent looked at the latest Melon Daily chart), this would make 8 Kpop songs in the top 20.

Honestly i cant wait for those boring balladeers, trotists and SMTM "rap" songs to finally fall out and make way for real talents like Yena.
