What have been the biggest fanwars since the 3rd and 4th gen

mys vs midzys but the fanwar has already ended lol aespa won by a mile similar to blinks vs onces. if nmixx do well I can see some midzys migrating to the new fandom for revenge lol bring on mys vs nmixx fandom

When I started following Kpop in late 2015 it felt like ARMY vs EXO-L was the biggest one until around 2017, followed by Once vs Blinks around 2018.

Barely a fan war tbh, and aespa hasn’t won yet… a bit to early to tell, aespa could be like twice winning the first few years then getting overtaken by another gg. They only had 1 good year for now

fact that bts hasn't been to gaon since 2017 when they usually (up to this year) go to all award shows, says a lot about how they feel towards it.. bts has forgiven that one mc that mocked an underage jk on national tv for bringing food with his own money, but that false acussations from YG's staff/VIPs had massive consequences for bts. they also completely stopped mentioning bb, even tho they were huge fanboys of them.

but, i don't think bb comeback is gonna be a very big problem, unless someone provokes one side. maybe if the cb gets closer, some twt drama will start, but army & true vips (not some kpoppies ready to token stan them to see them trump bts) seem pretty civil online.

army vs exol and blink vs once are the biggest of 3rd gen I think. Nothing beats the pure toxicity and malice of these two. Army vs blink is big these days but is very petty when compared to the other two especially the army exol one.

Exol plagiarism accusations actually affected bts career to the point MCs and tv shows were accusing them of it as well. And cmiiw but weren't exols (and some blinks) the ones who blew up the Jimin shirt scandal? An international scandal over a fanwar

i don't think they're so butthurt over it since they danced to bang bang bang in 2019 on one of the award shows. maybe they stopped mentioning them because they were getting bigger and bigger so there's no reason why they should talk about another group unrelated to them, especially when they're from a competing company. you can see it even nowadays, with countless nugu groups claiming to be huge bts/bp/twice/rv stans once they debut but after coming out of their rookie stage they stop mentioning them almost completely. it's a marketing strategy for gaining attraction

we'll agree to disagree then.

bts has never had a problem with mentioning/appreciating people they liked, even when they got bigger. it's very possible they just grew out of their fanboy fase (also bb not releasing something might have helped), but it's still interesting to me how they ALL stopped talking about them cold turkey after that incident.

also, it wasn't bb fault either (from all the people involving themselves, they didn't), so bts never returning to gaon afterwards is proof enough how they felt about that scandal. either way, hope no side picks a fight when the time gets closer of comebacks. i like this civility between the fandoms.

you know what, you are 100% right..

i have seen blinks fight with onces, armys, redvelvet (not a lot tho),.. but the most vile comments i have seen, was from blink agkaes. every fandom has them, but the amount and loudness with bp is on another level. i kept up a bit when ic was released and wow... that was some heavy sht. all over some lines and screentime. not even a bp fan, but i felt bad for lisa.
