Yep you're right, 4th gen will never beat 3rd gen but 4th gen will beat 5th gen and so forth, the point is for kpop to get better and better every generation

I was saying that the generations before will beat them in one way because they are iconic and the 4th gen can't beat them. The 4th gen will beat the 5th gen though because once the 4th gen gets past the feeling that they have to outdo BTS, they will be pretty good and will beat the 5th generation.

I remember when Girls Generation fans were claiming that nobody would ever surpass the group, they were the queens of kpop and nobody would ever do as well as they did.

Then Twice came in and crushed most of SNSD records.

Then BP started to out do Twice.

Maybe not soon, but eventually a new group will come and break all of 3rd gen records.

Or not, perhaps this is the peak of kpop and it will be downhill after BTS/BP/Twice retire. We will find out.

A little, I guess. To me 1st and 2nd gen were pretty weak from I-fan perspective but it was getting stronger, then the 3rd gen hit us and blew up and the 4th gen is just carrying that on, but not really making it any bigger or better as a whole. I think once the 3rd gen groups are all disbanded and out of the way, 4th gen groups will really shine and because they will become the new icons or legends, they will take over the 5th gen until they all disband and the 5th gen can shine. It's just the circle of life now that kpop isn't just for korea
