Things do you think 4th Generation have harder and easier?

  • I will only say one for each:

For harder: 4th Generation have to try hard to find their own sound and identity because it is really hard to stand out when many groups are debuting and constantly dropping stuff, plus they are still competing with big 3rd Gen Groups that haven’t reach their peak and are leading such as BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, NCT, SEVENTEEN and more.

For easier: They are part of the moment when the Hallyu wave is at it’s peak so they get so much exposure and opportunities to gain fans.

  • On one hand it's a lot easier to make bank since the market has become so much bigger, though on the other hand it also became ridiculously oversaturated and more competitive than ever.

  • Competition doesn’t actually exist for big companies. Hence why JYP/HYBE see no reason not to pump out group after group.

Competition only limits visibility of groups, but when you come from legacy companies with brand power, it doesn’t affect you much.

I think it definitely hurt groups like Cherry Bullet etc, and probably affects GGs more than BGs, but in general, 4th gen have it easier since they are promoting in the biggest kpop market ever.

So even tho 3rd gen is still on top, it doesn’t matter.
