Create Your Dream K-Pop Company

  • Funding: Besides the money the government is giving me, I would first of all buy a cheap house that is easy to renovate so you don't pay much money. If they allow you to pay small pieces each month you can spend the majority of money on renovations and buying the house and than pay the rest for a few years each month till the building is fully payed. The building is of cause a L-shaped house. You may wonder why but it is easy to explain. 1 Part will be transformed into a studio to record, 1 room for business meetings, 1 office for myself, 1 office for the producers where they can work in peace and 2 dance rooms aswell as a small kitchen and bathrooms for the staff. There also will be a big room that can be used to film MVs or take photos. I will of cause keep 1 wall white and the other walls get different windows who match eachother with a brik-wall so nobody will notice that easy that I film in the same room, especially not when I put cheap decorations for thr background in it. The other half of the building is going to he a house. I will get myself a bedroom and a bathroom in the first floor. On the same floor is also a big open living room/kitchen area and a laundry room that everyone can use. In the 2nd and 3rd floor I'm going to put 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Depending on the number of trainees they either sleep alone or as two people per room. I am also building a type of terasse somewhere on the property that can also be used for MVs to dance on or just to trow a party with barbecue.

Rules: Since everyone is going to live together in the same house I don't allow the staff to go into the main house unless they need to use the washing mashine. The idols arn't allowed to stay away from the property longer than 10pm on a weekday and 1am on the weekend. The underaged idols are not allowed on the weekend to stay away more than 10pm. If there is no event planned where idols and staff have to atend early everyone begins to work at 9:30am. and works till 1pm. Each day 2 idols are chosen to go to the kitchen at 11:30am and cook food for the trainees and the staff will do the same in the small staff-kitchen. Everyone gets a lunch break at 1pm till 1:30pm and 1 member/staff has to clean up the dishes and leftovers of the food etc. Than everyone is forced to go back to their work till 4pm. No work on Saturday, Sunday and public hollidays. If you are sick, just don't go to work and come back if you are feeling better again. If an underaged idol still has to go to school, they get forced to practice on their own for at least 1 hour each day after school when comming back to the property. School-hollidays are also ment to work like those who finished school. Every idol gets poket money of around 100 bucks a month. If the company makes money everything that is left over after paying bills for the company will be spend on buying food for the idols. They get unlimited access to money to go grocery shopping and in rare cases when example they need a new phone they can also take money to get a new one. If they want to date anyone they are free to do so. They can also visit family and friends like they want to. If no album produvtions, events, TV shows or concerts are planned to atend everyone will also be able to take days off like they want to and for example go back to see their family or make a small vacation. Depending on how much money the company has the idols might also have a chance to get money for their vacation. Only if the group earns money they get more than just the pocketmoney. As soon they earn their own money they will all be payed up to 3K per month. If the idols are sure enough to make money each month they will be alowd to move into their own apartment wich has to be close to the company. If the group might be so successfull that they make a lot money each member will be payed way more. Everyone will be also allowd to use social media like they want to.

Size: Depends on if I put 1 or 2 people in each bedroom

    * Stand Out Factor: They can freely be themself. If they want to be more punk than let them be. If anyone is handicaped in some way, of a different nationality or gay/lesbian than let them be. The concept would also be to be as crazy as possible as for example men with long hair, dark eyeshadow, punk jewlery, traditional clothing but underneath a ripped jeans and punk boots etc. We also would be known as the more family like company since we are all in the same building and take care of eachother.

    * Traditions: We order food to eat once a week from a restaurant in the area. Each idol has to do a specific rock/punk like hand gesture and the group's leader has to introduce the company and than his/her group (the group later on has to introduce the group too when the leader jumps from the company to the group's intro). Every idols needs to film at least a few sences or videos for the YT-channel of the company since all vlogs and musicvideos are going to be uploaded to the same YT-channel so even if you might enjoy the content of 1 group but hat the other and you subscribe to the channel you will see vlogs of the group popin up that you dislike. In the vlogs the groups can also interact if they want to since everyone is living in the same house.

  • I'm so sorry I took forever to respond, and I appreciate that you were detailed in your answer and thought it through well. Is it wrong that I was getting HYBE 2.0 vibes while reading about the whole Crypto thing? It sounds like a good plan in your case though, as long as you can get normal people involved in the voting and not freak them out. The survival show idea does sound good. I like how you plan to take care of the idols like human beings and not just as, well, however trainees are treated.

Community service sounds like a wonderful idea and I appreciate that you want your idols to be open. I actually like the rewind video idea and I'm all for it. The festival sounds fun too! I like that your idols still go to school if they haven't graduated yet and the rules all seem fair to me. The different sections remind me of JYP's divisions a bit. Sorry my reply was all over the place. Is there anything I haven't commented on that you want to know more of my thoughts on? I know I probably missed a bunch. Have a great day/night!

  • I really love your house plan and found it really creative and smart. I applaud you for thinking of it. It actually sounds somewhat realistic and doable. Some families might get a bit suspicious, but that's the worst that I can honestly think of. I like how lenient I find the rules to be (especially in comparison to what most idols have to go through) and I think your trainees would love them too. I like how they can keep their phones, visit family members, go to school, get both weekends and holidays off and get spending money too. That's impressive (in a good way)!

I really like your traditions too, they sound fun. I'm sure most trainees don't go out to eat often, so that would be nice for them. I hope the trainees would be a close-knit family too. The vlogs thing sounds reasonable. It also doesn't sound like you're going to be overworking them either. Seriously, if you're company was real, I'd have no issues at all debuting under it! I hope you're able to start it one day if you want to. Have a great day/night!

I had the idea from I think the group was called Mont or something. Because back as they apeared on a survival show in 2017 the CEO said she would live in the same house on top of a hill with the boys and had her studio on the same property

Yea I feel like if I were to re-introduce crypto as not alternate currency but a currency within bounds of something (something like in-app currency like webtoon coins or smth) it would make a lot more sense. Cryptocurrency is actually the child, if you will, of blockchain verification.

I plan on using blockchain verification to prevent vote rigging and dispel fears of vote rigging.

It spreads out the verification task to every "miner" so when people partake in verification - that is everyone with the app that is set to contribute processing power to do verification - I hope they can gain trust in the survival show voting process.

Is it wrong that I was getting HYBE 2.0 vibes while reading about the whole Crypto thing?

was HYBE planning on crypto? :eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes: I gotta look into that! thanks for the tip-off!

Is there anything I haven't commented on that you want to know more of my thoughts on? I know I probably missed a bunch.

I was wondering what's your take on the Idol high school, would being a student there sound good to you? and what, if anything, do you think could improve? For extra context:

    - I kinda imagined this school to be somewhat like a university in a sense.

------ People can get in for their academics, as I don't think making it an exclusive school would be good for personal growth of the idols.

------ But of course, the other ways to get in is to become a trainee of the company or going in for potential on song and dance, an option for those not yet wanting to do idol stuff yet.

------ It would be a boarding school, and during survival show times, a section of the school would serve as a backbone for housing as well as providing access to practice rooms for vocals and dance.

------ Being that it is a high school and student government is a thing, I'd like to have a fully fledged government topped with a senate and club reps to decide on policies for the betterment of the school. The students would know themselves the best, after all. (although the issue I have with this is that student government is quite unrelated to idol work.)

I'm still quite divided on the disciplinary aspect of the school. I love a democracy and having one teacher or the principal be judge and jury seems a little dictatorial...

TL;DR: the school is gonna be a general boarding highschool that has the company training system built in as courses (optional to non-trainees, ofc). I kinda wanted it to be a school that is just like any other highschool except that it is equipped to handle idols' training and could be an events center for the survival show.

Another thing! (be honest haha) do you think the scale of the operation is gonna be a lil too much? Like splitting into subsidiaries and branching out like a conglomerate seems a little too much even for the big3.

  • I think that would help if you made it seem like a currency within the app. It would make it a lot less scary for people who know little to nothing about it. That sounds like a good plan, hopefully it will keep the votes from being rigged. Of course, I'm sure people will still find a way to do stuff like mass voting, but that's a problem with the fans, not the company, and a harder issue to solve.

I have no idea if HYBE was going into Crypto specifically, but they were planning to go into NFT's and the two are similar enough for me (online currencies). I have no idea if they're going into either actual Crypto or Bitcoin. Sorry if I misled you with that.

Oh, so it'd like a boarding high school, but for trainees. I must have missed that when I read through your post the first time, sorry! That makes a lot of sense and seems like it would work. This way, they can be a student and a trainee and not worry about their schedules clashing, or if they did, it would be an easy fix because people there would understand. I think I get what you mean. Maybe the student council can be given high authority if you're worried about it seeming too much like a dictatorship or have plenty of higher up staff involved. You'll probably need a bunch of said higher up staff anyway considering how big your goals for the company are.

Okay, so the training period is a class? That's an innovative idea I don't think I've heard before. I think the scale of your operation may be a bit big at first to start off with, however, as you get bigger, you could grow your company into what you want to if that makes sense. Start small and work your way bigger. If you get a breakout group like BTS or BLACKPINK, then I'd say go for all your plans, you'd be big enough by then to handle it. That's my opinion anyway. Maybe have the trainees take online school, for example, until you can find a building for the idol school. Have a great day/night!
