Oversaturation has something to do with boygroups digital performance

not sure what this means but yes I agree, let's blame bgs for everything I suppose

But the thing is that the public aren’t even checking these groups at all for them to feel overwhelmed. They aren’t even glancing at them. I doubt they even care about the amount of releases boy groups had for them to use it as an excuse to not give non BTS groups a chance.

It honestly has nothing to do with that imo. Boy groups just stopped charting ever since melon changed their charts. At first fandoms could help their faves chart on melon within 24 hours after album release. But the changes curbed fandom streaming and now they can barely even crack top 100

Wouldn't that mean that they would check a certain amount of bgs too. Right now u can name some GG's the gp listen: BP, twice, RV, aespa,stayc, itzy, Ive, omg and BG; all those group charted for several weeks to at least 4 months in 2021. On the hard, the only BG that was able to do that was BTS, many BG song don't even cross even 100m streams which is more than basic, Gallup had listen several GG's but the only BG was BTS

Idk if it's BTS eclipsing every BG or the lack of interest that was already there increase bc BTS cover it so why bother checking anybody else

can it be due to oversaturation if only like 1 BG can regularly chart well? That sounds more like public doesn't care for bgs overall regardless if there's 100 or 10 bgs around.

the competition for bgs isn't strong enough and the public doesn't care about them. every second 4th gen bg sounds the same and looks the same - from styling to visuals. there isn't someone who stands out from the crowd to make the gp interested
