  • They write this so casually while Hazed Reality wasn't even released yet. Also who the heck found out that Koya is going to be their leader? They didn't revealed anything except their names and height and some dude on Fandomwiki be like: "Yup that's the leader"

Edited once, last by JiminieKookie ().

  • So they recently droped their first MV, the 2nd one is going to be released on the 25th. I wonder what the heck is going on with this group cause compare it with let's say what their brother-group VOYZ BOY did it's pretty weird right now, so I hope that at least the song they will make an MV for soon is a bit better and not that confusing. IDK

  • So ODDLORE has released in total 5 MV so far, each one will feature another member as main actor wich are 3 of the 6 member by now.

As stated before that the group was suposed to represend personality issues. It really just came off like if you would get to see only stuff like maybe phobias, but it's interesting how things turned

From seeing the MV, they really took these traits from their concept into their MVs. The first 2 were not based around the members for now

"Hazed Reality" - The shown personality issue in the MV could most likly portray someone who is suffering from a bipolar disorder. The person feels missunderstood and zoomed out of reality not understanding how they can feel so emotional all the time.

"Lucid Dreams" seems to have the focus on someone who's issue could be that they are a sociopath and have an attention seaking problem. You clearly notice it trought lyrics like "I am the chosen one", "All eyes on me", "I'm a lion". But it also could show someone who maybe don't wants all this atention and wishes to escape from reality since the line "Don't wake me up" is falling a few times trought out the MV with the members looking vulnerable and hurt.

The 3rd MV for "The Revelation" is based around Koya. It seems like his problem is that the world seems boring and allways the same for him. He also seems to not really like to go out of himself and preffers to stay in line where nobody notices his real feelings. He seems to represent a shy introverted person that dosn't trusts many people and therefore gets pretty angry as their beloved pet passes away, wich is shown by a fish in a broken fishglas in the MV. He dosn't seems to like his boring live as an unknown person anymore and also seems to hate how people seem to be controled to do the same things each day and wants to escape (shown in this case by murdering someone to break free from a locked building in wich he and his member seem to pursue a trustless everyday life) - Another idea about this MV could be that the building shown could be a asylum for mental ill people and that Koya's dissorder makes him want to break free cause he maybe got enough from being locked into that asylum and since he has a dissorder he dosn't really understands that killing someone to get free isn't right.

The 4th MV "SKIN DEEP" is basded on Rion. It's pretty clear to see whats going on with him. His problem must be a gambling addiction. At the end as he seems to have completely crashed in his addiction, Josh comes to him and reaches out his hand to help him up, wich maybe could show someone wanting to help Rion to get out of his addition.

Their latest MV "BRIGHT SIDE" is focused on Ryuchiro. The case is pretty clear. His problem seems to be that he got wrong friends and ended up as member in a gang. At the end he sits in a car with Koya and Josh, wich most likly shows that they try to help him to get out of the gang (and seems to not be liked by the gang since they run after the car).

  • JiminieKookie I read your analysis, but I'm not following it very closely so I'd like to ask your thoughts about that, do you think in the end it they delivered it quite not that badly how people expected? From the first news people thought they would use as a concept for the members, but it turns out the "issues" represents characters so it's like they're just acting as people on those issues and creating a sort of storytelling of problematic people... which is not as bad as the first conclusions we had I think lol

Not sure tho. I might only know what to say if they release more MV. Maybe the next 3 are based on the other members Yui, Josh and Rikito and than they might do somethig else

  • So they released their 6th MV today called "Where I belong". It's as most of their MV held pretty dark (not mich lightning with the camera etc.) and highlights around member Rikito. As shown in the MV it feels like if you go 100 years back in time. It looks like the house of a rich person or something similiar with a big hallway that has two sets of staircase and everyone is dressed like people around 100 years ago. It feels to me that it shows how nobody understands how Rikito feels and that he feels missunderstood and left alone. I am not sure if it's based on his ethnicity since he is for sure mixed (no statement given by now on what his ethnicity might be). At the end of the MV it feels to me that he seems to think "fuck it" and tries to go his own way by dressing up and going out.

So from all the MV they did so far, it feels like a mix of different issues from mental things to social things 🤔

  • I think I was quit a small bit off with what I posted here with my asumtions on what the topics of the illnesses and phobias etc. could be

I just noticed this after their newest MV eas released and I saw they freaking published it in English under the MV in the describtion

    ____________________________________________________________________________________

MV 1 [Hazed Reality] + MV 2 [Lucid Dream] + MV 3 [The Revelation] are ment to introduce the members and to show off that they are ment to represent some of their "personality issues" From seeing the MVs it makes quit sense to belive they are in such bad state of their own mind that they are send to a spychiatric clinic

Story line trought MV 4 [SKIN DEEP] The member seem to show what happend in the past to them. Aparently having met for the first time in maybe a casino, getting adicted to play casino-games (mostly portrayed trought poker in the MV) to MV 5[BRIGHT SIDE] In wich member Ryuchiro seems to be in a bad state, hanging out with the wrong people, being part of a gang and such. He can't get out since it's a bad cicle around him, thill his new friends come and get him out of it. In the same time portrayed trought MV 6 [Where I belong] there is Rikito who trought being half African-America feels to be left out and dosn't fit into with the other people. It seems to make him quit unhappy how people seem to treat him and that he also apparently only could get into a lower class job trought it. MV 7 [HOLLOW] is based on the other hand on Josh who seems to be lonly and as portrayed trought the lyrics also dosn't seems to understand the point of being alive if he is that lonly.

Thats what I could make out so far. Not too sure what it actually all is about but it makes quit sense I would say that the storys conect. It looks like if 6 mental ill people meet and become friends who go trought a story together that begins with explaining what lead to the situation they are in.
