Yep. Everyone complained about Everglow's girl crush sound after Adios and Dun Dun and then they tried retro with Latida and the song flopped massively. They still havent recovered. Personally after watching them cover Sistar, i would love to see them do something similar to Touch My Body/Shake It. But who knows if it would be received well.
lol i know, i was just making a general comment aimed at those Blinks who were shading Teddy for being "stale" and shading a megabop like HYLT the literal day it came out 
there's a difference between a group having a signature sound/concept and releasing the same song over and over again, for example Red Velvet recognizable sound but few would say they re-release the same songs, when kpop groups release songs with the same structure and similar lyrics it does become predictable and boring.

It was the same for Twice. Their album sales were stuck along around 500k once they changed the concept, but after The Feels once they returned back to the cute concept, they managed to sell 800k albums.
