Netflix's Lineup for 2022 Upcoming Kdramas and Kmovies

  • we don't need a Hometown cha cha 2. The story has ended i can't think of anything else they want to show in season 2

They could make it into a long running show. Create new storylines. Get a new male lead.

  • Netflix is known for introducing cliffhangers at the end of their Kdramas and not renewing for Season 2. I am still waiting for Sweet Home, Extracurricular, and Vagabond Season 2.

It was already filmed and it was supposed to broadcast in the middle of 2021. But now no news, nothing.

One of my faves is starring there and it would be his acting debut, we were all excited about it :-(

  • All of Us Are Dead already looks amazing and Somebody and Black Knight sound interesting. Somewhat perched for Money Heist as well even though I know it probably won’t come close to the original. Not a fan of rom-coms at all but if my man Song Kang is in it I’ll have to sit through it.

Speaking of which, where the fuck is Sweet Home season 2?

  • VIKI is about to be obsolete.

I only use viki because it has timed comments. So you can see watch others think about each scene in the drama but it is hard to read the comments and subs at the same time. ^^

Netflix has helped in bringing more crowd into kdramas. The only thing i don't like is how they add cliff hangers at the end of all their Kdramas and we don't know if they will produce a season 2 or when.

  • Hopefully, it airs latest by 2025

Hope so! They've been announcing it last year and now all quiet for months :boredr:

  • Thank you for this! I already made a list with TVN dramas that are going to be released this half, and it was pretty sad. Not too many interesting series. I have some hopes for SBS, but otherwise, Netflix will be the one that will save me. OCN and KBS are always a big no.

    I added on my list:

    • A Model Family
    • All of Us Are Dead (I get Dark Hole vibes from it, hopefully, the disappointment will not be the same)
    • The Angel Without, The Devil Within (I was sure that the actor seemed familiar, he played in Memoir of a Murderer, I really liked it)
    • Black Knight (maybe?)
    • Carter (I was expecting it to be a drama, but looks like it is a movie)
    • Forecasting Love and Weather (I'm not into romance these days, but it's Song Kang, he is really Netflix's boy lol)
    • Glitch (if it's going to end like extracurricular I will be mad, the vibe is kinda the same)
    • Juvenile Justice (looks like the plot will be interesting, quite similar to Devil Judge maybe, I'm looking forward to watching it)
    • Remarriage and Desires (maybe)
    • Seoul Vibe
    • Somebody
    • Tomorrow (ah, Rowoon)

Quite a lot, but I guess we will get more in the second half. Maybe Squid Game 2 too, I doubt they will miss the hype.

  • Hopefully, it airs latest by 2025

I really don't understand what was in their mind. Sweet Home was the most-watched kdrama on Netflix until SG, they didn't mention it at all after that, but out of nowhere they want to produce another season, and when people saw that exactly the actors that were important will not play, they rushed to cast Song Kang to revive the drama. Tbh, looks like they don't have any direction since this time they will no longer rely on the webtoon and the producers will have to bring a new plot. But not casting Song Kang and Lee Jin Wook really makes me wonder what kind of plot did they made lol.

the comments are distracting imo. I switch them off😅

  • I am only interested in whether Money Heist Korea will live up to the original since it was huge. But I didnt watch myself the original, first episode was meh for me so dropped. Thinking of watching this one since I love korean thrillers. And also the cast is much more familiar from the spanish one to me.
