their achievements are too close and some promising boygroups debuted like yesterday, you can't compare them yet. In a year, it'll be more clear

technically it's too early to tell
personally I have crazy strong gut feeling that SKZ will soon create an obvious gap between themselves and the others (unless JYPE messes up really, really bad)
I have countless reasons for thinking so too, but just looking at your question something screams Stray Kids

stray kids IMO

As others said, right now all the groups are close in terms of achievements. Enhypen has the biggest sales, stray kids have the better streams, txt has the better domestic popularity. Each of the three groups leada in some aspect while in others they don't. Unless one of the three groups starts leading in majority of the categories then it will still be unknown who's the leader. Give it a year or two and we'll know.
If we base it on who has the fastest and most rapid growth, enhypen seems the most promising ones

nope lol they got ~20M from ads on MVs, they usually run for a week after release but Thunderous for one had only two days of advertisement, and even if you subtract ads it's the most viewed 4th gen MV of 2021. The second and third most viewed MVs by 4th gen bgs were God's Menu and Back Door, yes, MVs from 2020 gained more views in 2021 than all 2021 4th gen bg mvs

Enhypen remind me of Treasure in that they clearly have a huge devoted fanbase, but multis seem uninterested in them. I barely know any of their names and faces, have hardly heard of any of their songs. Other groups I tend to get to know by osmosis, they just show up on my timeline, autoplay on spotify, appear on my youtube recommended page, but Treasure and Enhypen both just seem to occupy their own bubbles.

Stray kids followed by enhypen then TXT

LOLLL no.
Enhypen literally had a whole viral song this summer where nonfans went crazy, it's the song that gained them many fans and made many people become casual listeners of them. Comparing enhypen to treasure is the most ridiculous thing ever, especially when you look at the difference in streams on Spotify - engenes suck at streaming so most of those listens are by nonfans

Stray Kids currently.

tbz, they chart well in kr

enhypen and stray kids are the only million sellers of 4th gen so i guess it has to be them

They don't

None for now. Stray kids are already 4 year old group. Txt will be 3 year old group in 2 months. That's why enhypen looks like is going to be the one leading this generation for now. They have snatched as many armys as txt have in less time from bts. But trainee a has a chance of going ahead of all these boygroups. They already have alot of army's attention.

The moment you implied that enhypen's fandom relies on armys is the moment your point stopped making sense. If you don't believe me when I say that their fandom consists mainly of survival show enthusiasts + sports fans (due to some of the members' previous careers), + fans who were on the verge of falling out of kpop + fans whose first ever group is enhypen then I'll provide you a proof. In MAMA's voting that year there were two rounds - one where you vote for five groups and one where you vote for one. Enhypen stayed at third place for the whole time, both in the first and second round. If you were right and they relied on armys, their rank would have dropped massively the moment we could vote for one group only because everyone would have voted for bts instead.

And what if they're 4 (not yet, actually) and 3 year old groups? Thanks to kpop's sudden global blowup, 4th gen clearly works differently from the previous gens, I think we'll get the definite leader this year or early next year.
Even though the BTS privilege is guaranteed, I don't think Trainee A have the chance you think they have. They'll debut in a market saturated with successful boy groups from big companies, a controversy of their supposed center who people don't even want to see debut now. Even if they'd have a relatively good start, they'd need disgusting amounts of mediaplay even for Hybe standards to come remotely close the groups who had years to establish themselves, and better their skills (well, those who did). The latter is kind of unlikely tbh. For boy groups, late debuts in a generation can still have good success but they'll always have a disadvantage. Based on my observations, the best time to debut is when bgs from the previous gen have definitely peaked or are peaking, but most haven't begun visibly slowing down in their growth. When those groups' growth slows down considerably due to lack of activities (military, not renewing contracts) or just a general loss of interest, you'll have the spotlight on you. As of now, very few 3rd gen bgs are doing still well, so there's more and more space for new bgs, and of course the most popular ones will occupy that space.
JYPE will have to prioritise Stray Kids this year. We don't know how Twice's contract renewals will go, and although JYPn will likely do very well, the company can't put its future into the hands of a rookie group, who need time to establish themselves. SKZ have the best sales in the company, and likely will have great touring power too, they're the most secure source of money.
HYBE will also put effort into TXT and/or Enhypen, as the company can't stay just BTS' company forever (although they likely will but ehhh, whatever), for them it's fine if Trainee A don't blow up immediately but their peak is saved for later.

They don't
they chart a lot better than the rest at least

you can't even go measure 4th gen bg on korean charts to see who is #1 because they all do terribly
looking at sales is also stupid because most of them have already crossed the 1m (except for txt)
you have a handful of groups who are best known (straykids, ateez, enhypen, txt, treasure,..), but no one jumps out.
With the amount of bgs coming this year, i don't see the situation getting better unless one group gets a viral hit.

only two crossed 1 million in one album accross all 4th gen groups ( bg&gg included). it’s stray kids and enhypen. It’s not that many to begin with even with 3rd gen if you consider the number of groups still active. So I would say it’s a hard thing to achieve esp for gg since only bp were able to do that. Enough of mass buying allegations to downplay the physical sales,as if no one is doing it including gg. You can also stream many times anyways. So GG dominates the K-chart ( only)/K-GP while BG got a lot of love globally through physical sales. It’s the only measurement available for BG since they are not charting in Korea so right now it’s stray kids and enhypen, with txt not far behind. We dont know who is going to dominate it but we’ll probably see it in a yr or two once the 3rd gen leaders enter military. It is bound to happen that someone will take the spotlight
right now leading? no one

I'm not army not engene so idk much about enhypen but what i said is enhypen snatched armys from bts. Your mama voting point actually proves that. I remember bts had 30% votes last year to 15% only this year. Alot of armys have started moving onto enhypen and txt.

Their contract will end on january 2025 because of their predebut activities just like got7. I know how jyp works more than anyone on the forum.

you clearly don't know how kpop works. When bigbang super junior reduced their promotions bts seventeen nct started getting big. Bts have slowed down their activities since last year. Now enhypen txt stray kids are slowly getting big. Kpop fans always prioritise new young fresh groups over older groups. Enhypen got as big as stray kids n txt debuting 2 yrs late. The same will continue to happen as new groups continue to debut. Armys love this trainee a group. Look at the thread on akp. They are salivating over those boys visuals. Bts won't release nothing this year. Armys will start moving on to txt n enhypen and if trainee a debuts they will have much more support from armys because armys are looking for content. This new group will give them just that.
Pre debut controversies only help the groups in the long run. Jennie getting alot of hate predebut made yg stans sympathise for her. Karina getting hate made sm stans eager to support aespa. Latest example of huening kai's sister. She is getting so much support for non talented idol. Kpop fans always sympathise with those who get alot of hate predebut. If this trainee a guy gets even small hate you'll find armys vying to suppor him more. They already proved this with bahiyiih who is not even related to them. Armys are the hot blood right now. Bts slowing down activities is only gonna boil that. Whoever gets a taste of it first will become the new leader of the 4th gen.
