not at all
Do you feel like the fans on AKP are representative of the kpop community as a whole?

the silent majority is often drowned out by the vocal minority?

not at all. i remember a thread (i think on the old forum) with kpop reddit poll results and fandoms barely represented here ranked the most popular and people were shook bc they were so used to their tiny AKP fandoms.
-
Sort of, but at the same time not really. I feel like there's more rationality on akp overall than places like stan twt for instance.
-
i dont think its a fair representation in terms of numbers but when it comes to majority of fandom's view about a topic, then its a somewhat fair representation
like u can take armys viewpoint on a topic here on akp and if 60 perc have opinion A and 40 perc have opinion B on a topic, i think it will be the similar 60:40 ratio on other social platforms too
atleast thats how i feel

Not at all. I know there are quite a few blinks and army still, but for how popular those groups are I feel they still get outnumbered here

a very small representative of a kpop community yes but that's about it
think of pann they definitely don't represent all knetz

Pretty much. It has always seemed to me that this site was a BTS and BP site as they are the groups most talked about and threads on. In the time I was a fan of SJ and SHINee especially on the old forum, hardly anyone talked about them at all as they weren't considered popular or in vogue anymore. Fads come and go here and people can be fickle but it can become a bit one sided for fans of lesser groups that don't get much exposure.
I've been learning and reading more about the Discourse Community lately. Have you heard of this concept and phenomenon. You can read more about it at https://writingbros.com/essay-examples/discourse-community/. The concept of discourse community is ambiguous in nature. Despite this, one thing is certain - most of us belong to one in one way or another.not quite

far from it. However AKP is a well defined group of more western kpop fans.
(from what I perceive)
-
Maybe? I mean what users talk about here is generally what kpop fans talk about everywhere else… just in a smaller scale.
In twitter and other social media platforms kpop fans tend to stay within their own fandoms.
