Prerecorded vocals that sounded great along with full out awesome dancing?

    Or

Live singing that was flawed (breathy and even had a crack or other mistakes) where the singers also either modified the choreo or just didn't do parts of the choreo in order to sing better.

  • Depends on how much it is flawed. Tbh it gets boring watching the same stage just with different outfits. If at least a couple of the stages during promotions had some sort of live vocals that’s he good enough for me. Live concerts is ofc a must for me. Definitely don’t mind if the person singing modified the choreo or didn’t do it at all to compensate. Actually prefer that.

  • i genuinely do not care LOL

lipsync sure, they're still giving their 100% on the choreo

  • I'm curious if people really care about live more or just saying they do. Just about all the live video has less views than non-live versions and I think its safe to say not many people download the live audio clip for day to day listening, then where is the demand if is not in audio consumption and not in video.

I prefer live in concerts or any "live" event since they're so rare and in frequent that I prefer a unique experience that I can't get anywhere else. But otherwise, I appreciate a live clip here and there and they are great for seeing their talents and for curiosity but if I had to listen or watch a song performance 1000 times, I'd prefer the studio version.

For me, it comes down to what's available and the quality of it. I love when I can find live vocals on videos of music shows or concerts that are professionally filmed with good sound quality. I won't watch someone's fancam with a partially blocked view and everyone around them screaming just to get live vocals. Give me a good wide angle shot of the whole stage or multi-cam with closeups. If there is an audience there, I prefer they get muted. Hearing loud fan chants annoys the heck out of me. As for audio, if I'm not watching a performance, I'll just listen to the studio version. It's usually the only thing that's available on streaming service, but also because if I'm just listening, the sound quality is the most important thing. Plus, it's just more convenient.

  • Flawed Live even though i don't care if they lip synch, but it's awkward if there's singing and their lips aren't moving lol. I personally just want a great performance and a good show, and to just watch the idols enjoying themselves. I went with Other since really it doesn't matter. But there's been some instances where there's singing and their lips aren't moving and it's just awkward lol. As long as an artist is enjoying themselves that's all that matters.

  • Live, so that I can laugh at these clowns for forgetting lyrics that they wrote themselves

Make sense. I probably misunderstood preference. I definitely get a higher experience with live but my logic is the one that is "preferred" is the one I'd listen to most the time and given if I had to listen to a song 1000 times, I'd most likely prefer the studio one. But the live one is more enjoyable and I guess if I could only listen to a song one final time for rest of my life, I'd pick the live version.
