Just so that everyone knows, the most downloaded kpop group song before this was T-ara's 'Roly Poly' with 4.41m downloads released way back in 2011. Since then dowanloads have taken a huge toll in Korea. This achievement is one for the ages. Most probably will not happen again.

whoa, none of big bang's songs have surpassed 5 million before? that's surprising since their digital peak was during the downloads era too - nowadays streaming is much more popular.

If you're asking about only downloads then no. There are 11 songs with atleast 5m downloads. 'Spring Day' is the first one for kpop groups though.

If you are asking about both 300m streams & 5m downloads then yes. Mainly because there are only 3 songs with 300m streams.
