Maybe coming late to the party... But Wonyoung was the best center material in iz*one .

    Lately I've been really into listening to iz*one and watching performances and I think Wonyoung was the right center.


    Even in produce she stood out a lot.


    I cannot believe she has been constantly receiving all that backlash when she's clearly charming , maybe because Sakura was supposed to be first place?


    I really like Sakura, she comes as a hard-working person , but actually I think WY fitted more the center position.


    If I had had followed produce 48 back then I could have seen myself picking Wonyoung or the BBC girl ,who could have debuted in loona and who could have sung rumours ,as the centers...

    lol you got sucked into the Izone hole. I started early this year right before disbandment and i'm still suffering for it ;( .


    As for the center question, i think Minju is the best center for Izone. Msnake really pushed her in the beginning by sticking her in the Rumor and Mirotic subunits, even though she wasnt a strong dancer like the others in those subunits. By the time Panorama and Swan came out, she pretty much moved like a center or at least a second center.


    Right from the start of Secret Story of the Swan, Minju is featured at the front of the formation. She also gets the first verse.

    In Panorama, she is the first to sing and is also up front with Sakura as they both flank Wonyoung who gets the first verse, Minju sings again right after Wonyoung.

    Sakura wasn't "supposed to be first place" that's a rumor her crazy stans started.


    From the very beginning Wonyoung has always been popular in Korea, but from the way some of them talked, you would think the final episode was the only time she ranked #1, but in actuality, she ranked #1 in a previous episode even before that and maintained her place in the top 10. She never ranked below 8.


    But ifans always hated her and acted as if the ranking was determined by international vote, when the voting was not open to ifans, only to Korean fans. With how girl planet 999 final ranking changed so vastly when it was weighed in favor of Koreans, you would think that would have clued them in.


    Maybe if they had realized this, IVE success wouldn't have been such a surprise to so many of them.

    i didn't watch produce and didn't follow Izone, but I love watching GG performances on Youtube.

    And girlfriend handle being an idol like a part-time hobby. What an unbothered queen.

    She was born to be on top and she carry it with ease.

    I'm still confused how so many people can swear sakura was the real first place when there's no way to know. Rankings change all the time and popularity is just one of the factors that decides what rank someone gets, luck is also a big factor. It also makes sense that koreans would vote for a korean if they wanted a korean to be the center. Not to forget, wonyoung is one of the most popular members, if not the most. It's not far stretched at all that she was the real center
