Seriously? We have Lizkook threads at least once a month.. and there used to be Jimin x Jeongyeon threads too..

1. Other groups have been shipped with themselves or other groups and

2. Fanservice, which I think is okay (if it's not romantic shipping, which it usually is)

basically every boy group and girl groups too although I feel it's prevalent with boy groups

but I've seen female x male ships a lot too

it all depends on where you look and if you look for it

Some fans tend to read the members actions too much.

BTS has a lot of ships with gg, esp maknae line.

Listen, I’ve been a kpop stan for like 11 years. Shipping amongst kpop group members is not a new concept, trust.

Japanese groups and bands have this too. As JO1 for example debuted a lot people were randomly shipping Takumi as Renkumi or Keigokumi O.o

Shipping members is like old stuff lmao nothing new at all.

Fanservice is the reason for that. Some new/younger Kpop stans talks about queerbaiting but it's nothing related to that. It's the known and old fanservice.
