  • I've never liked a live action adaptation, my expectations are low 690632014268989533.png?size=64

    Netflix history with Anime / Manga adaptations is... less than stellar

    the only saving grace is that the author is very involved with the production, so maybe?

    :pepe-cross::pepe-cross::pepe-cross:

    i keep wondering why they picked this specific series, ONE PIECE is one of the most outlandish series out there and yet Netflix couldn't even handle Death Note's adaptation despite that one being pretty grounded in reality

  • My expectations are on the floor. The wanted posters are very low effort and I hate that even the logo is live action-ish. I will give them props for the dude they cast as Usopp though because I can definitely feel the vibe. I feel like they're gonna have to tone everyone wayyyyyyyy down (Sanji specifically), but at least Zoro is hot. :nct6:

    Yes, they can take artworks that are better suited to adaptation work like Monster by Naoki Urasawa but they prefer a more lucrative license even if it is going to be a total failure. :wellr:

  • I've never got live action anime adaptations in general but One piece is one of the one's I find hardest for transferring mediums as it's world is one of boy's adventure dreams all shoved together and that's what makes it good.

    When is Zoro not hot? :pepe-flirt:

    He is green and he is hot. He is literally Pepe :pepe-life-support:
