Is Favorite a song EXO would release?

As someone who stans both groups, no.

It sounds like a typical NCT 127 song structure - heavy rap emphasis (the verses are raps) with a dramatic vocal punctuation in the chorus, a vocal show bridge, big ad libs towards the end and some unexpected elements in the instrumental. (You can find this in any NCT 127 tt - from Fire Truck to Cherry Bomb to Kick It to Sticker.)

It's just that some of the instrumental differences are dialed back here, but the structure is very Neo.

EXO typically leads with vocals first, highlighting all that sauce from the Holy Trinity. (Yes, there are songs that don't go full out, but overall, the typical song structure is different to NCT 127.)

I think it is a very SM-style song though, from the builds and vocal layers to the dramatic bridge.

I mean NCT is performing it so idk if I can see exo there. It’s hard for me to separate out the artist from the music personally.

Every song NCT performs is NCT’s and every song EXO performs is EXO’s.

The chorus reminds me of Monster's chorus. But not the verses or the bridge.

not to me, if anything the chorus sounds more older tvxq to me and that's just the chorus..

Its been long since nct did such a beautiful melodic vocal heavy chorus...I guess peoplefind that fact a little hard to digest for a nct song
