Going Seventeen Is THE Standard Idol Variety Show
Now, before anyone says that I’m being biased because Seventeen is my ult group, I just have to tell you that I wasn’t a avid watcher of Going Seventeen from 2017-to-early-2019. I don’t really entertain stuff that I don’t really enjoy no matter how much I like the artist. It just wasn’t my cup of tea. However, ever since mid-2019, I can say with my whole chest that it is the best idol variety show out there by Kpop idols.
Let me explain why:
Let’s start off with a he budget. One main thing to note is that the budget is so high for a free YouTube content. From renting out a whole warehouse for a game of tag to renting a whole flipping island just for their weekly 30 minutes episodes.
Says 73, but it’s actually 81 cameras minus the cameras members have on themselves.
The absolute best part is the quality and content of Going Seventeen. In the past up until now, it has been constantly praised and compared to successful and high quality shows like Running Man and the Knowing Bros by the public (people don’t realize how big of a compliment that is). Speaking of quality and content; if you want to see bunch of kidults locked inside a abandoned factory trying to escape killers? You got it. Want to see 13 men debate whether 3 hands are better or 3 eyes? You got it. Bored? Well, nothing is more entertaining than watching 13 workaholics go a family trip and brew chaos while drunk. Feel in the mood for more horror? Watch them get locked inside a asylum and witness the struggles they face while they find a way to escape the crazy doctors.
Also, for the sake of this thread; here, look at the cinematic effects of this GoSe episode! Each episode just keeps raising the standard.
In conclusion, Going Seventeen is the best idol variety show of the year.
P.s. Shout out to the amazing Going Seventeen staff (whom the whole Kpop industry wholeheartedly wants to steal from Seventeen) for all the effort and time they put into making GoSe possible.
