no "who is that girl" kind of nonsense in 2012 only to debut in 2016-
i dont really like too much of an intro either, the "visual films" and song covers are really starting to annoy me.
the perfect debut for me would be a week worth of pictures, one or wo leaked predebut videos, and an actually good debut song with one or two teasers at most.
most new girl groups dont have the good debut song part. post loona i only like cignature and weeekly. i liked dalla dalla but im super sick of it now but that counts. even black mamba wasnt bad, it was a bit meh tho.
If they actually *do* things with them as trainees/rookies then sure. Pre-debut activities can be a fun way to start building connections and showing off the skills that the members will have.
Like BTS's pre-debut vlogs were really neat and gave you a window into their personalities and let you start to connect with them. SM Rookies did tons of performances and really got you excited about seeing their talent put into an actual group.
The pre debut stuff can be interesting and I voted for that. It’s nice to get to know the members but for me personally still there music will decide. It makes me curious about them. If it makes me like their personalities but I don’t like their music sometimes I still follow their variety shows.
The only thing I want to know about a group before their debut is a hint at what they're going to sound like. I definitely know more than I need to know about PLoud.
I like a mix of both
i usually find that when groups have too much content predebut, you end up knowing them too much when they debut and don't feel the thrill of wanting to know more about them once they debut and you're less invested
I like the way aespa members or RV members were introduce
You knew some members but just the basic info so it make you kinda curious
but there was also members that you didn't know at all and it was interesting to learn about them and see what they can do
