i highly highly highly doubt it was all organic haha. (i’m a blink btw so i’m not hating at all)

these companies are worth millions, of course they will put money into their music release promo. it doesn’t mean all of the success was due to promo, but promo by the company definitely kickstarted it- like it does with all songs. these days, you won’t find any artists from any big entertainment companies who don’t have at least hundreds of thousands of dollars going toward promo of their song. 100% organic song growth is like, nonexistent nowadays. (at least when talking about big artists) so i can’t see YG doing anything differently than everyone else…

YG and interscope did literally nothing. The bare minimum they did (tth and other playlisting) went to lalisa, not money.

As for op I think it's too soon to tell but it's looking like it, other than the first week this is like 80% the song going viral and not fandom or company push. We have yet to see how high it can go and the longevity though, so just wait lol

The main video is at 977mil views. The dance practice is at 870m views. That’s 1.8 billion views for HYLT in a little over a year. No kpop song is capable of having its main video and dance practice hit 1 billion views in a little over a year accumulating almost 2 billion views.

And then it had 11mil videos on tiktok no kpop song even remotely comes close to it. That’s INSANE

That’s the definition of a viral video.
