    I’d include Mako too, but she prob would’ve been in Itzy instead since she was a trainees years beforehand & is within their age range

    All 3 are fluent Korean speakers too, so they def were likely gonna be under Kpop groups had NiziU not been planned

    JYPE has been planning to have a Japanese GG from at least when Momo and Sana joined in 2012 and they hadn't stopped that thinking which is why there are Japanese Trainees in JYPE.

    Anyways, it's still pretty common to take Japanese trainees and put them under kpop groups so idk I'm sure JYP might've still taken in these girls even if they didn't had those plans...

    Idk cuz Mashiro & Mako were in JYP training with the Korean trainees, with Mashiro being in the debut team(?) which was before JYP announced plans for Nizi Project. I don’t think they had the idea beforehand, but later on decided to go for it again

    Sana, Momo, Mina, Sika and Leader Mone were part of the Japanese Team in 2014...


    Mashiro, Mako, Rima, Miihi and Yuna were part of the Japanese Team during and after Sixteen.

    No they weren’t. Not only was there no Japanese Team, those 5 weren’t even trainees during or closely after Sixteen


    I followed the trainee showcases & they were always in teams with Korean trainees


    I can’t say JYP didn’t have ideas to make another Japanese GG after Twice. But there were no Japanese teams to showcase the likeliness that any of them were planned for one from the start


    Plans for it came later, which likely explained why Mako didn’t debut in Itzy when she was ready to, and so on & so forth

    I don't see Mako in ITZY. Not at the time they were formed. The dancing videos that we have seen show Mako wasn't as good as the rest "back then". Now - absolutely, but while ITZY debuted in Feb of 2019 they were most likely formed in the 3rd quarter of 2018. I seem to remember hearing they had been living in the same dorm for several months prior to their debut. That means she had about a whole year worth of training from formation if ITZY and audition for Nizi Project. If they had lost one of there three good dancers I could see them delaying ITZY for a year and then Mako appearing but I don't think she was under consideration for that group.


    As for JYPn I definitely see Mako and Rima doing JYPn. Miihi is a bit too much on the "cute" side and is more like Sana in imaging which doesn't seem to be what JYPn is going for so not convinced of her in JYPn. While Rima's family background could cause controversies initially they are so bigoted that I think that would die down quite fast as the instigators would get hammered online by everyone else. Kind of already happened on that too.
