This is the first time a foreign act surpassed 1M album sales in over 10 years in Japan.!

I can see their next Japanese single doing 1M-1.4M sales and their next Korean album around 700K-800K sales there.

I am glad to see BTS doing amazingly in Japan, both physically and digitally.

Yup.! BTS’ Korean albums usually sell ~200K less than their closest Japanese album release. So, based on THE BEST, their Korean album will probably do around that much (700K-800K, with standard album release, of course).

They are about to cross 1M too in Oricon!!! Its at 960K on recent update! *hopefully*

Yeah, Dynamite was a game changer for BTS there. I still find it pretty surreal that they managed to get 3 pretty big hits in under 1 year with Dynamite, Butter, and PTD. The way Dynamite is 1 of the top 4 biggest hits from 2020 and Butter top 5 for 2021 in Japan.

Oricon's annual calendar will close in November as far as I know. I wonder if they'll be able to hit 1 million on Oricon by then. Let's see Snow Man's first album Snow Mania S1 how much will sell. The album is scheduled to release on September 29. This group is their only rival for No. 1 at the Oricon album chart this year.
