I hate when most female idols voices are so high pitched esp when doingcute concepts. Most of them will have a low tone voice or just normal voice but when they sing their voices are song high pitch. Why??? i just don't get it. Why do they make high pitch when they don't have a high pitched voice. I esp hate it when I hear them sing and then hear them and i would say to myself "are thy the same person their voices sound so different" I won't give some examples cuz I don't wanna be attacked. Anyways what do guys think do hate it or u like it??
Does anyone else hate when females idols do this...

They simply do not have enough members with naturally high pitch voice when they really wanted to mix their music up with cute concepts.
-
I don't particularly like high voices, from either bgs or ggs. Very few have a good tone for my ears to tolerate. But I guess most of the time that's just part of the concept.

I think the problem is with kpop, no? All companies, instead of working with the group members actual pitch, force them to achieve unnatural ones because that "fit" the song. I remember this Twice song that is almost impossible to sing Nayeon's part, Dynamite too the key is just so high it's difficult to sing it normally.
I wish I could find the exact quotes/news about Twice and BTS' about this but I can't find it...

That's the reason I don't like girl groups, their vocals are awful.

Not really, some of girls and women have things called a wide vocal range.
For example me, when I talk I have a deep/medium voice(because I keep it that way) but when I sing I tend to have a higher voice and hit higher notes because I am more comfortable with that for some reason(I can also talk with a high voice but I don't).
So technically when they have deep voices and high voices. It might just be in their vocal range but they don't use it that much because they like their deeper voice better or something like that and vice versa.

Another reason is I don't like their music... Which is the case with Red Velvet.

Because high pitches are cuter. Combined with a cute tone. Boy groups also do the same when doing cute concepts.
But the real problem is that K-pop is obsessed with high pitches even when not doing cute concepts. Both GGs and BGs.
It's very rare to find a K-pop idol that sings in a deep voice.

Me neither I very much dislike hearing very unnatural vocals like when they have that high pitched tone
Biggest example for me was IZ*ONE's D-D-Dance when it wasn't even the vocals themselves that were unnaturally high pitched, it was the editing of it. Why did they make my girl Eunbi sound like a chipmunk?

I used to hate it but now depending on the song its very pleasant to the ears plus there's actually a decent amount of ggs that don't do that if you only dislike ggs bc of this.

I agree - this is what turns me off of a lot of gg. However, the tide seems to be turning to offer a wider range of voices (this is one of the things I've always liked about RV). I've really been liking Purple Kiss and am curious to see what's new from Pixy. Someone told me to check out StayC for some less high pitched voices also but the only song I checked out was not great. Always open to more recs tho!

I don't know , cute song is not realy my cup of tea

I actually like it. I know some people don't. I love Iz*one and Twice's high pitched songs. Heart shaker is one of my faves. I also love "Love so sweet" from cherry bullet etc etc.

Agreed! Its my personal preference and I can't tolerate high pitched voices but they do sound good sometimes if placed nicely ❤️

I meant most girl groups. Of course there are ones with good vocals but as I explained in other post, I don't like their music.

Nah I just don't listen to those types of songs. For example, Momolands version of Wrap me in plastic. It's way too high for me to be able to listen to it lol
