In the realm of weird ass reality TV concepts this is pretty out there, but it reminds me of some of the more bizarre stuff like Skating With the Stars, I Wanna Marry Harry, or Joe Millionaire where networks are trying to get massive buzz by taking a tired premise and making is super weird. The producers and the network don't actually care about the final product, they just want curious viewers and lots of online buzz.

Well to those people following idol groups is more about visuals than music. Quite Shallow af.
