Anyone also feels that JYP Ent. is aiming for ITZY to win GG of the Year title in award shows?

They'll be 'backed' by 2 releases with big sales and seeing how many artists are doing after recent Melon reform we can already assume that Loco will chart better than Mafia.

Melon might be hard to win but... maybe MAMA? If not then some other shows.

They are in line-up for The Fact Music Awards, you know the awards in big hotel and they spend nice money and treat idols well there.

Unless there will be some 'twist' and they give it to Brave Girls then Oh My Girl and ITZY are main competitors for female group of the year award.

but in general I think that will depend on when one or another organization/tv channel/music station will 'close'/open nomination period :)

I don't think Alcohol-Free had big impact but yeah sales are there, so who knows?

also it might depend about the % of fan vote in whole score

OMG with their back to back hit are also strong contestant

Aespa, physicals seems to have a bright future reaching already 40K preorder just on ktown4U, and the enormous success of NL, it'll be hard for Mama to ignore them

StayC are also contestant in this category with the success of ASAP

and let's not forget Twice who had a great run with AF in the chart and did amazing in sales

Red velvet is also having a great run in the chart, and have good physicals

and they usually nominate only 4-5 GG for the GG of the year

in same time I think that aespa will win Best New Female Artist in MAMA 2021

if we go by songs then overall Brave Girls should get some award on MMA 2021, especially because they won few popularity awards, weekly awards on Melon during their run with Rollin, and We Ride.

STAYC probably will get nomination on MAMA but won't win a thing because BEP has beef with CJ ENM.

Overall my idea of ITZY taking GG of the Year award was because they have advantage in the number of releases in 2021, and we know that for this album they will drop two MV's, Also what's important it kind of will be out in right time to collect big sales, and rise in popularity just before all those music companies will 'shutdown' nominations.
