Maybe its just me but for a song thats performing so well its downloads seem pretty weird based on monthly positions.
9/11/13 and this week they are 40th on downloads yet 4th on streaming, 5th on digital points.

downloads died in korea, is now only fandom flood
I guess their fandom isn't mass downloading their song. Or isn't big enough for that.
Downloads are from fandoms. When was the last time you downloaded a song that you listened to causally lol. I’ve done it zero times.
They’re a new group who have not amassed a huge fandom yet and are relying on a casual general public interest hence streaming.
Kpop fans fixate on the weirdest things.
Im not fixating on things but do people like Somi,Akmu,10cm,Heize have bigger fandoms then Aespa?
Akmu,10cm,Heize are all about public/casual listeners dont really have fandoms.
Yup. Obviously. Any act that’s been around longer has bigger fandom. These acts have multiple releases and people to look forward to them. Just because you think fandom = physical albums lol.
Download are very much fandom driven. In fact it’s the most authentic fandom driven metric. Digimons have the biggest fandoms.
They're doing fine they're leading gg releases this year

Its just that normally a song that performs well has similar downloads

Because it’s usually digimons with big fandoms that have huge hits.

that doesnt make sense with all the osts at the top
if downloads are fanbase driven then why would osts have the highest downloads?
the hospital playlist ost dude had only one ost that charted before and it peaked at 100 and featured d.o...
It's probably easier to sajaegi streaming than sajaegi downloads

not this year apparently :)
mid year chart:
Next level is #20 in the mid-year download chart but #50 in the mid-year streaming chart. So they actually did better in Downloads than in Streaming.
If you check the monthly download charts, almost everyone above Next Level is a new release free-falling the next month. Most by boy groups or by an artist with a bigger name than aespa.

Id assume they are low because its 3+ months since release.
The notion that digimons have big fandoms that massdownload is not really true. Digimons have GP.
Looking at 2020 top 10 downloads, theres basically only one song thats in there because of fandom downloading. Its true tho that downloads loose importance year by year.
We get it next level downloads are low... it’s been like this since 2020 even dynamite is not certified platinum for download
don’t expect to a rookie gg to pull big downloads like Kang Daniel or BTS

If you download a song you’re automatically a fan and it’s fan behavior and digimons have big fandoms. They operate differently than fandoms that buy physical albums. But they’re very much fandoms.
Causal ppl will not download a song in the era of streaming.

Without getting too much into the argument of what defines a fan, im speaking of the hardcore fandoms that will massdownload on multiple services, buy a song multiple times, multiple accounts etc. None of those on 2020 yearly download chart (top 10), except two artists/tracks, one of which would be up there anyway, has that.
And people still download for various reasons, be it habit or have it available offline etc. Minority in 2021 yes.
