I got my wisdom teeth removed... I'm in pain

Got them and another teeth removed in 2020 (so 5 in total) and -.-

You are not allowed to eat stuff that contains milk and cheese and caffeine for 2 weeks and all you can literally do is baby food, apple sauce and mashed potatos wich sucks

In my case it got even worse since most baby food in the store is made with whiped cream or cheese and I don't eat meat and almost all baby food is with meat so I really hated it after 3 days allready and I secretly ate 1 piece of chocolate after 7 days lol

It's only said to avoid all these foods in case of infections and caffeine could open the wounds

You should've either informed yourself before or asked your doctor ... if you let's say would drink 5 glas of milk each day for the next 2 weeks and you end up looking like shrek with crusty wounds than your doc will be super mad at you when he asks you to come back and he sees all this and the chance is really high to infect yourself

I got an infection after wisdom teeth removal (despite following all the rules) but tbh even so I didn't think it was THAT bad?! My cheeks just looked bad but I feel I got used to the pain quickly after the removal.

I relate to that. I got all four of mine removed in 1990 as they were impacted and crowding my mouth. My oral surgeon advised me to have them in hospital under GA. I knew about it when I woke up. I was in pain and my face was swollen. I even vomited from the anaesthetic. I had to eat soft foods and couldn't eat anything hard like an apple for about a month. I don't miss them at all. Recently, I had to have a molar extraction as it was broken and infected into the root and that was no fun but I was sedated so didn't know anything about it. I can eat better now but tooth pain is no picnic.

I feel you!! When I was getting my bottom right one removed, it shattered into loads of pieces so the dentist had to take all the pieces out of my gum. It didn't hurt when she was doing it, but I could feel the pressure along my jaw when she was doing it. It then got infected whilst healing so I basically lived off apple sauce and mash potato for a week xD

My experience was also painful and ice helped. In my cheeks and through ice cream ingestion (and also shaved ice).

Paracetamol and nimesulide helped me with pain. I can't remember the doses, since it's been ages ago.
