CL - Spicy MV - bop or flop?

I LOVE CL but it's a blop for me. The beat/background instrumental is too loud and overpowers her. The actual verse/flow/melody of the song is catchy af especially the chorus but that instrumental is just too much.

Where's the blop option?

I just heard it once so my opinion might change!

I loved the beat, however it needed a switch up at some point. The lyrics, cringe. It's the main part that put me off tbh. She always raps about the same thing, (being the baddest), same ol baddy lines and it's not like she's Meg thee stallion to have hard hitting bars even if it's the same thing again. I always say singer CL>>>>rapper CL!

Then again it might grow on me, like i said i only heard it once and that was my first reaction to it.

Tho I love "repetition core" (that's the reason why this song will go to my playlist anyway), this one needed a shift, at least once.

Her lyrics tho. It's always been a problem for me. Like, how many times she has to make the listener know she's from Korea and that's she's badass?

I love CL, but she needs to work with diverse themes in her songs.

She hasn't evolved at all as an artist, her music is still cringe the whole song and m/v are so outdated... and that's a shame since CL is talented and a charismatic peformer but the 'muh gurl swaggy power' concept ain't it.

My honest opinion: I was surprised that the same beat was playing through almost the whole song, it was kinda repetitive. I think changing it up more would make the song better. The song will probably grow on me the more I listen to it.

Too much high hat drum stuff going on. I like the synth line but it gets all garbled up with the extra percussion stuff.

The lyrics are bad, and the concept makes no sense. I liked the beat at first and thought it was just gonna last a couple seconds for the intro but then it kept going and going....

My daughter recommended me the video as she used to be a fan of CL. I wasn't crazy about it tbh, it's not the usual style of her previous songs. She didn't happen to like it either, sorry.
