What is your opinion on survival shows?

nice to watch just to pass the time yea

we need a new survival show:

Survivor: becoming an Idol

food is simple - you can't eat anything or you'll get called fat!!!! or just ice cubes...

you have weekly evaluations and if you don't pass you get voted off

singing/dancing and rapping battles to earn immunity and maybe extra food

and if you win get you get to debut....lol

I’ve only watched Survivor so I don’t know other ones. My favourite was Survivor - The Australian Outback. It was funny watching a bunch of Americans trying to eat our bush tucker and traversing the terrain. I think it’s gotten too commercial now and seems to be only about the money.

I personally don't really like this kind of show. They falsely test my emotions. I like to be in control of my emotions. I am not interested in such shows.

I was in a discussion about Japanese survival shows some days ago and people were surprised that a non-Korean made survival show in Japan became popular. The thing is that all the survival shows in Japan so far (as example Produce 101 Japan, G-EGG, NiziU Porject,...) where made by Korean people and so to see that the fully Japanese made survival show 'THE FIRST' succeeded is really great tho.

The group who was made from THE FIRST called BE:FIRST also seems to be allready very popular in Japan and they havn't even debuted yet. Their pre-debut MV came out 4 days ago and almost got 5 million views allready. This is a lot and shows how successfull they might get with their real debut since Japanese people don't really tend to stream stuff on Youtube

I also like to see in such shows what type of people want to be idols and how they might change from being the one who might auditions with a random song to the final product they will release as a group

Also I'm a big fan of the Japanese group JO1 who won on the first season of Produce 101 Japan and they make really good music.

Produce 101 Japan had a second season and the winner group called INI most likly debutes somewhat in September or October and I allready can't wait for their debut.

Also the songs made for the second season were sooooo good. (And one of the songs was also produced by Daehwi from AB6IX)

I only dislike survival shows if they flop (example MIXNINE that YG made ... biggest flop ever)
