I think some kpop fans hypocrite.. not the "my faves bla bla your faves bla bla" type of thing, but in the sense of: screaming "democracy, liberty" and all beautiful and powerful words and to what?? Nothing, just to portray themselves as "better", but they sure don't act like it.
If you start some conversation about a sensitive subject within your fandom or just in general, but still regarding some group, majority of the reaction are: "i never thought you would be like this" "stop talking about it" "stop liking our faves, you act like an anti" "stop being a fan" "stay away and shut up" "you sound so fake" and things go on with the others following such moves and liking, sharing and just trying to silence/censor others who wants to talk or share their ideas and thoughts.
And no, it's not always being fake, sometimes it's just talking about it without desiring our faves bad things.
Your life won't stop if people talk about x or y subject neither will harm others so stop talking about democracy, freedom and liberty if the moment someone thinks different you are the first one to judge them and try to silence them. It's hypocrite and it doesn't match your cancel acts agenda!
Preach what you say/condemn others or at least stop pointing fingers at others when you do the same, but in a small scale.
A hate/shame thread is a different case obviously, but there are some threads that i see the reactions and i just think: wow...
And I'm also not talking about "fights, debates", I'm talking about making a thread and people coming at you bc the subject is "prohibited", but who said it? Yes, no one... It's just some choosing what can be said and what not...
Anyways, talking shouldn't be a taboo, having doubts shouldn't be a taboo! Let people talk and if you don't like to hear different opinions, block people, don't come in groups trying to censor others!!
Or you can do like me and fight 80% of the times directly bc the others 20% i can't for "wp" reasons... But don't try to stop a subject just bc you don't like it, freedom is exactly this: letting others voice be heard while agreeing or disagreeing.
Disclaimer: this is my opinion and I know I'm not a saint, but I prefer to debate for 10 pages then to act like a dictatorship.
Bye! Kkkkkkk
