Spring Day and Fake Love were one of the biggest songs those years. 2018 had a bit of competition with Love Scenario, but iKon hardly won SOTY that year. Spring Day and Fake Love were more successful than the songs which actually won SOTY.
And I have a question! Why do these award shows only count success in Korea but call themselves "Asian" award shows? Everybody knows if they counted Asia as a whole, BTS would've been winning SOTY since 2016 by a huge margin. Also international success should also be taken into consideration when rating overall success of a song. It's good for the country if their artist is exporting music and spreading their culture.
