Well it at least helps to establish that difference, between Stan streamed success and NOT.

It is not a bad thing to have a massive/dedicated fandom,

but it is a fallacy to deny that they can skew the results of charting, misrepresenting the popularity of the song.

Unfortunately most discussions about the 'skew' end up being fights where the besotted people think, that they are being accused just for being 'fans' and their faves accused for having 'fandoms'

This is a technology/statistical issue - which charts need to figure out.

There is nothing to accuse fandoms, acts about - they are doing what makes them happy. Having a dedicated fandom, and that fandom to mass stream is nothing wrong and is credit worthy.

Just that charts have to figure out a way to isolate the skew due to that.

We’ll see tomorrow how new songs chart after their first 24 hours as TBZ is gonna have their daily UL count now. Previously, their stats were counted purely as a hourly UL with no points on daily UL. Tomorrow, it’d be different. It should be interesting to see.

BTS gaining from this proves their huge following but their top 10 songs not moving much on the new Melon as compared to their rankings on 24Hits UL-based charts proves they have the GP too. When you have both, you can survive any chart reform in Korea.
