Parents who were against the idea of their kids becoming idols

and to add, soobin’s mom was against him being an idol. he auditioned in secret and once he made it through to the next round, he had to beg his mom to let him go to Seoul. she said lots of discouraging words just to get him to stop but he ended up debuting as the leader of his group. now she’s the most supportive mom ever so i guess it worked out for him

RV's Wendy - Wendy’s parents were initially against her pursuing music and wanted her to focus more on her studies.

Girls's Day Sojin - she left home without her parents’ knowledge in order to pursue a singing career.

All of them are a proud parents now (pretty sure). Its understandable why some of them were against it. Like, what all KPOP idols have to go through on a daily basis, the uncertainty of whats gonna happen in the future or are they gonna succeed.

Nayeon: She mentioned that her parents were against it at first but eventually became supportive

Mina: She had to convince her parents to let her join JYP and move to a different country

Well of course they would be supportive now that their kids make tons of money lol
