I think it's because they have to make time for the rest of nct units. While most of the senior acts don't promote as much so it doesn't take a lot of time in their schedule, aespa and nct do, and SM already has plans for a wayv cb, nct 127 album + repack, new unit debut and nct 2021/nct hollywood so it's going to be a packed schedule for the second half, and the Dreamies releases had to come quickly, especially because of Markhyuck.

They are already overlapping dream and 127 schedules so I imagine SM is in a hurry
